It looks like her own family killed her. The police searched the house three times before finding the body. The granny probably knew what was going on all along imho. It was a very strange story to follow on the news.
Next door neighbour in trouble as well, they think they might have kept body next door while the house was being searched.
Any sign of the mother yet?

To go on TV and plead for her safe return and to light candles and wear t shirts with her picture on it all the time knowing she was dead and being hid up in the attic or wherever is unreal.
