If a cheque that i wrote is cashed, so its showing up on my online account today, can i phone the bank and tell them to cancel it or not pay it?

Afaiaa if you lodge a cheque into your account, it takes 6 days for the cashed cheque to be officially yours.

If you have a genuine reason to recall the cheque you signed, then contact your bank.
Having second thoughts is not a genuine reason.

Them things burst the first time you blow them up sometimes. Just patch her up and she'll be fine.

I dont think so as it has been cashed ie paid out to whoeever. It wouldnt show up on your online account while your cheque was pending as far as im aware it only shows up paid on your online account when its been cleared for the other person. So whoever it is will already have the money paid out.

tell them you made a mistake with the amount and you need to cancel and write another for the lesser amount.
