The former Brazilian legend Socrates died of an intestinal infection at the Albert Einstein Hospital.

Remember reading that he had taken ill a while back. Wasn't lucky enough to see him at his best. RIP Socrates

Urban legend. Heard so many variations of this Socrates playing for/at UCD. He was a beautiful elegant player and supposed to be a sound man. Loved his smokes. Played on what is remembered as the best Brazil team not to win the World Cup. May he RIP.
