Title: Poitín
Post by: el_cuervo_fc on July 23, 2011, 11:35:44 PM
I just opened a bottle of poitín that someone gave me a few years ago.  Does it lose it's kick? I drank a couple of shots and never felt a touch yet, just a taste of plum.

Neck the whole bottle and let us know how you get on.

I can say with aplomb... give it a good shake. The bottle, that is..

I've tried a few shots but it doesn't seem to be having the desired effect. Maybe a few more hours will tell a tale

You sure you haven't opened a bottle of water?

A few more shots will tell the story. Plum water doesn't seem to be the nicest

You could set 100 bottles of poitin in front of you and have 100 different alcohol %s. I've had poitin you could drink all night and others which rip the lining from your throat after 3 sups.

Someone gave me a brandy-ball effort and it was rather delightful.
