eh?
1. Cork
2/ Kerry
3. Dublin.
4. Kildare
5. The Rest
You have to wonder re how different measures are applied to Dublin and how easily people here write them off.
In 2011 Championship todate Dublin totally outclassed Laois without having to get out of 2nd gear for more than 10 mins in 2nd half, won vs Kildare while controlling vast majority of game even with 14 men & did what they needed to do vs Wexford in very low key Leinster final. Yet despite this pundits & posters alike have decided to write us off!! Time will tell but think Gilroy will adjust team selection / setup and we will step it up big time come start August. As Bryan Cullen said after Leinster final as far they're concerned Season starts now!!
it will be interesting with Cork, kerry leading the pack ,and not to far behind is tyrone ,dublin and kildare . then the tactics of donegal and down not far behind even if they are underpeforming .
Kerry
Cork
Tyrone
Dublin
Derry
Donegal
Down
Kildare
Mayo etc etc
Kerry favourites for me with Cork a close second. Dublin, Kildare and possibly one or two others capable of beating one of the big two but not both in one season I reckon

I don't wonder why people write the Dubs I know... History!!!! Win one and you'll stop being written off!
And that doesn't apply to Kildare?
I'm sure Mayo will still be 13th. Afterall, didn't Shine hit a rasper of a shot that went over instead of under yesterday. And he missed a few easy frees. And Mayo got most of theirs from frees. And everyone wants Mayo in Croker. And well you know the rest.....
Armagh has as much chance as Donegal, Down & Mayo so why the ommittence?
Berf don't make me laugh!!
1 Cork
2 Kerry
The rest.
Kerry........................ cork could be gone the weekend
Donegal are there or thereabout now for sure
1. Kerry
2. Donegal
3. Cork
4. Tyrone
5. Dublin
6. Down
7. Mayo
8. Kildare
9. Derry
10. Armagh
11. Wexford
12. Rossies
13. Limerick
Cork for Sam after beating Kerry in the final. Dublin will be in the mix again and Kildare will be hard to stop. Tyrone will get their 2nds wind and pull out a big show when needed.
As far as I'm concerned Donegal are the worst Ulster champions I have seen in a long time but they are still ahead of Mayo and Roscommon!
Top 5
1. Cork
2. Kerry
3. Dublin
4. Kildare
5. Tyrone
Down, Armagh, Donegal, Derry, Wexford are all much the same with Mayo and Roscommon at the other end
Kildare will be hard enough to stop
Meath must be still in this poll due to their 'never say die' attitude of the 80s/90s!
Here s how Paddy Power sees it today anyway.
Kerry 2/1
Dublin 10/3
Cork 7/2
Kildare 8/1
Tyrone 11/1
Donegal 12/1
Down 22/1
Mayo 22/1
Wexford 33/1
Derry 50/1
Armagh 66/1
Roscommon 80/1
Limerick 80/1

The best odds there are for Armagh, Armagh are more like a 20/1 shot and are better than Mayo. I don't think Armagh will win Sam but if they beat Tyrone they will beat Roscommon and you never know they may get Mayo in the quarters. Lucky draws count for a lot in the championship. It is unlikley but very possible Armagh could make an All-ireland semi and at that stage the belief really kicks in. Certainly a much better long shot than Derry (due to Bradleys's injuries) or Wexford.

to quote jinxy (dont diss meath)
"This isn't ResDubs sonny jim.
This board is for lads that know their football and the nordies so if all you're going to do is annoy everyone with constant jibes at Kildare you may saunter back there"

No they can't - the draw will be made next Sunday evening and Tyrone/Armagh will still have to play Roscommon. Given that you can't play a team you've already played in a provincial final whoever comes out of that game can only get Donegal, Kerry or Dublin
On that basis will the draw be made before this game is played? Surely they cant stop Roscommon / Tyrone / Armagh from being in the same bowl as Mayo on the basis that Roscommon may or may not beat Tyrone/Armagh?

Of course they will - the earliest the Tyrone/Armagh v Roscommon can be is the same weekend as the Quarter Finals so they'll have to make the draw next weekend. Tough shit for Tyrone or Armagh if they do get through to the quarters.
Just watching the sunday game from last night and Spillane said in the space of 25 seconds that Kildare were number 3 in the country and now ahead of Dublin but that he had doubts about them as they couldnt beat a Dublin team who were down to 14 men for 30 mins!!! Man talks some sh1te!!!
Kildare havnt beat any of the top teams such as Kerry, Cork, Dublin, Tyrone or even Down for that matter in championship football over the last number of years. They have looked impressive but have not beat any sides outside of Leinster of real quality in any of the McGeeny years from memory. ( stand by to be correct on that)
Of course they can only beat what was put in front of them but imo they have alot to prove yet and can only be put at number 5 at best behind Kerry, Cork, Tyrone and Dublin.

well said that man..................well bloody said
kerry
dublin
cork
tyrone
kildare
the rest
I'd swap cork and Dublin and would then agree with ya. Can't have Dublin ahead of cork before they have beaten either cork or Kerry.
Also wouldn't have kildare that far ahead of down, armagh, Derry or Donegal.

Nice one Deelin :D
But McEneaney (they felt so indebted to Pat they gave brother Banty a job in hard times) Sludden Bannon and all the other ne'r-do- wells can t help them this year. But hey, expect normal service to resume again next year.
It's hard to see beyond a mayo win in September, just lowered the might of Roscommon and have only 3 more to win to claim it all again. Very hard to see who will beat them.very hard.

Rubbish. After Mayo win their 1/4 final the real hypefest will begin. Nobody does it better. Kildare my hole. Get in line.

Hmmm. Could be mistaken but didn t Bannon do line for North Meath referree.. sorry Cavan referree McQuillan in 09. And then there is the symbiotic relationship between McQ and McEnaney. If Oliver Stone made this up it would be dismissed as ridiculous ;D
