Launched on this day in 1958. Not sure if there are any commemorations in River Rouge, Michigan.

SS2 if you're not all over that tautology I'll be very disappointed.

Just read the story on wiki, launched in '58 and sank in '75 with the loss of all hands.

And the Lusitania was launched on this day in 1906. It was built in Clydebank.
