I'm curious and I am sure someone here knows the answers:
1. Who gets the money for inter-county matches? Is it split between the teams, or does it go to HQ with teams being given a percentage? Or something else?
2. When a club ground is developed as a county ground does the club have to pay anything for it? Or is it effectively just like a massive gift?
3. Does HQ give money to counties or are they meant to be totally self-sufficient?
4. Does anyone have any other facts about money distribution I haven't asked here?
Just curious, this is not an attack on the guys that administer GAA and I hope the thread doesn't become one. I will say at this point that despite lots of people being very negative about GAA financial attitudes I think it is amazing value for money. I think soccer and rugby don't come close for value in terms of cost to entertainment ratio. I'm just curious as to how it all works.
