Title: Trying to trace my old vehicle?
Post by: mannix on February 23, 2011, 04:03:32 PM
Does anybody know how I can track down a vehicle I owned in the late eighties to early nineties, it was last registered in 1993 and the registrant sold it on but it was never reregistered after that. I know the registration number and the tax office told me it was last taxed in 1993. Any help would be really appreciated.

Tax office should know the address they sent the Tax reminder to.  Maybe they'll tell you that address.

Freedom of Information request? (who do apply to for that?)

I spoke with the owner after me, he sold it on but cannot recall to whom, they did not register it so it was not on the road with tax or insurance after 1993. The fact that it was a motorcycle in the west of Ireland, I was hoping it was left in a shed and is still there.

Unfortuntely it may have been used for parts.
Cant see someone buying it and never doing anything with it.
