mine was a TableTop Football Game knocked hours of fun out of it
BMX bike
Lego, loved the stuff and collected loads of the Medievel/Robin Hood castles and stuff.
Its all still up in my mothers attic and I've vowed to go up and get it some day.
Also had a fairly impressed Star Wars collection back in the day.
A shell suit.
Hewlett Packard Multimedia PC about 18-19 years ago
- Pentium 166, 16MB RAM, 2GB HardDrive
It cost "Santa" a bomb, I dont know how he afforded it.
We were one of the first familys around to get a computer but I literally never got off it for about 8 years.
The original Nintendo Entertainment System with Duck Hunt, been a long time since I played it but I may have to hoke it out for the holidays.

Lovedd the nintendo but preferred super nintendo- we spent hours on it. I see the old nintendo with the duck hunting was on eastenders the other night
My favourite was one I never got. I wanted the big AT-AT machines from Star Wars - but the folks told me that Santa had told them it was a big useless piece of plastic. I used to stare at them in the argos catalogues for hours.

And any type of Lego
Probably was the Sega Master System 2 I got when i was about 8 years old, always remember it. It had Alex the Kidd in Miracle World built in and I got Wonder Boy game as well. I still have the system stored in my wardrobe in mint condition. Good times, no worries back then

f**k me I loved Wonderboy!
You can get a Sega emulator and Wonderboy ROM off the net and play Wonderboy on your laptop.
I downloaded last year and play it now and again
I agree with those who said the original Nintendo, I got that one year with the teenage mutant ninja turtles games! I didn't leave the front of the TV til Easter. We also had Mike Tysons boxing which was great too!
Mario Brothers 3 on the Nintendo was good one & road rash on the Megadrive was another classic
beating people/police senseless with crowbars then trying to run away without the bike.
My best pressie had to be the Scalectrix set. It was all I really wanted one year and ran down to find no scalectrix under the tree. Cue pure heart ache and rage at Santa until my dad said he thought he heard movements in the attic the night before. So i ran upstairs to my room (where the attic trap door is) and my dad pulled down the attic stairs and when I went up "Santa" had put chip board down over a large part of the trusses and set up the whole track.
I think I nearly shit my pants with delight. Deadly stuff!
Hungry Hungry Hippos was another classic.
Striker, classic

Subbuteo World Cup Stadium Edition. Class.
TCR - Total Control Racing
Was THE biggest hyped present of 1980, like scalectrix but with real overtaking, lane-changing etc. Great concept but it was a pile of complete sh*te, broken by the day after boxing day. My brother and I actually felt guilty as it cost our parents a complete fortune and then turned out to be crap.
A couple of other favourites

Good stuff. Our wee one hasn't been in hospital over Christmas so far which has been a great present.
Paddy Drac is a friend of mine and I was at a party one night and he was telling me that, it was either the Ilac Centre or The Square shopping center asked him and two others to do Santy Clause and in any case this young lad sat up on Paddy's knee and Paddy sez to him, "good lad, have you been a good boy" .....yes. "And what is Santy Clause going to bring you?" .... Blades "But your far too young to be shaving sez Paddy and the young lad sez, "Roller Blades ya foooking tick ya" and Paddy hits him a smack on the leg and sez, don't you speak to Santy like that and the young lads father goes to hit Paddy a dig and the next thing one of the other Santys got involved and eventually they all got thrun out of the place.
Paddy is on the left !

No wonder he got a dig. That's not a Santy suit at all.
That was on St Patricks Day Parade there, did you ever see him going around with the coffin on the roof of the car, coming home from gigs he gets stopped every time to know wher he is going with the coffin.
Growing up primary school age it was Big Trak - couldn't believe it when I got it.
Secondary school age it was the Super Nintendo -best present at that time.
