Do any of you have a recipe for a Paddy's pizza you would like to share? I remember when I lived back home, there was a restaurant in the Derryloran Industrial Estate in Cookstown that served this pizza. I'm craving it today. Over here in New York, I can't get the soda farls but I have made them myself and they are close to the real thing :-) So if you've had one or know a good recipe, I would be very grateful.
Thanks.
What's a paddy pizza?
The base is a soda farl. My memory is a bit hazy when it comes to remembering what was on it, that's why I am asking if anyone has a recipe. All I remember is that it had cheese on it and was different than a regular pizza.

Done that mate, but not getting anything.
Our recipe was always soda farrell covered in tomato puree then cheese on top with chunks of ham and pineapple on top then cooked under a grill. Quite fancy one now myself

That does sound good. Ive a few farls in the freezer, might have to defrost them tonight
Kitchen Bar in Belfast does the best of them. Fried egg on top is a must!

What other toppings do they put on it?

Mmmmmm lovely.
Sounds like shit. Something wrong with plain old pizza?! I've heard they have this product in New York.

Wee cafe in Lurgan does one which is just soda with tomato puree, cheese, bacon and onions.
I pick the onions off and they (sodas sans onions) are lovely.
Another bakery beside us gets a normal bap, cuts it in half then puts tomato, cheese and ham on them and sells them for about 40p, they are a bargain at that price, put in microwave for thirty seconds, sorted.
I feel like an idiot when I say the word farl.

NY pizza is one of the best but I fancy a change and a taste of home.

Fry the soda farl, make some Sawsage and bacon and fried mushrooms and bingo.

No eels in the freezer?
nah, it's been a quare while since I last had eels :-)
Flights are too much money, even at this time of the year.
Surely you dont need a recipe to tell you how to cut a soda farl in half and put some toppings on it?
This has to be a pisstake...

Why is it a piss take? I'm just asking for people to tell me if they had one and if so what was on it. What's wrong with that?
Present for you loughshoregirl, and you can share it with you girlfriends.
