Post by: T O Hare on September 04, 2010, 02:26:49 PM
After his great goal last week ;) Benny has now overtaken Stevie from Killeavy as Ulsters top goal scorer in Championship football with 19 goals! Another reason for Down fans to be happy ;D :)

What a player. Some achievement to hold this record having only appeared in one ulster final in 11 seasons and coming up his first all ireland. Legend.

I don't think the number of Ulster of All Ireland final appearances played in has any influence over the number of goals he has scored, the number of appearances he has made would make for a more insightful statistic.

Marty Clarke seems as much a goal threat as Benny Tierney did.
