Sky News breaking story
Tiger Woods has been seriously injured in a car accident outside his home. Reportedly hit a fire hydrant and a tree at low speed but air bags didn't deploy.
I just heard them saying "charges are pending" and it was 2.30am then it cut to a break, charges against Woods? Blocked?
EDIT- Highway patrol say "not alcohol related"
Wasn't it Thanksgiving too?
Pulled out of his driveway, hit a fire hydrant and then hit a tree.

Woods, they reckon. Sketchy details but Sky will either get to the bottom of it or just get into the guesswork for the next few hours.
Could possibly been attacked at home, then tried to escape by car?
seems its unclear if he is in a serious condition or not

Sky have all the angles covered, the airbags may not have deployed due to a fault. In the next breath they reckon he could lose all his sponsorship deals !
Edit- released from hospital. The Tiger is still roaring.
He's been released from hospital already.

Think he was a fairway from his address. He went through the green and took a dogleg towards a hazard which he hit with a grand slam. He had to lie by the obstruction, with the yips, for over fore hours in the pitch dark with only a sandwedge and chip to recover. He was released from hospital feeling below par and gross. In future after the lay off he will be driving range rovers, up and down or any short distance while his buggy is under repair.

Davydenko shocks Federer in semis
ATP World Tour Finals
Venue: O2 Arena, London Date: 22-29 November
By Piers Newbery
BBC Sport at the O2 Arena
Nikolay Davydenko caused a major upset by defeating Roger Federer for the first time in 13 attempts to reach the final of the ATP World Tour Finals.
Sixth seed Davydenko beat the world number one 6-2 4-6 7-5 in a contest that started only 15 hours after the Russian's final group match.
Federer had been looking to match the five victories of Pete Sampras and Ivan Lendl at the season-ending event, but Davydenko secured a return to the final he also made 12 months ago in one hour 55 minutes.
I don't think it's any coincidence that it's the 13th attempt. ;)

It's up to Woods to prove to the Gaa Board, and to a lesser extent his wife, that he wasn't caught hanging out of some bird. Guilty until proven innocent.
Would that be the first time Woods has driven less than 200 yards ?
omg give it up already
Woods and wife will not speak to police until Sunday, police have described the fact that they haven't had a statement yet as "unusual".
You would have thought he would have had a driver.
Ok I'll get my coat.
I assume his people will be contacting our people for a press release tomorrow?
If he was dogging around his commercial interests could take a bit of a beating.

One last thing, I hope that the Woods family get through this deal, money is great and all but they will be hounded from here on out if they were'nt already.
Crouching Tiger, hidden hydrant
Sunday Times
Decent piece from Iain carter (5live golf correspondent)
QuoteTiger Woods was once again centre of attention. He always is at any golf tournament. On this occasion it seemed magnified, the dial was on max. Chinese crowds, the sponsors, the organisers and the media all wanted their piece of arguably the world's most recognisable sportsman.
And what is that like for the superstar at the centre of it all?
When he was asked Woods gave perhaps his most telling answer of the week he spent at this month's WGC Champions tournament in Shanghai. Just five words summed up his feelings. "I have never liked it," he said.
Hardly revelatory because we know Woods loathes sharing his life with anyone other than those nearest and dearest. His yacht is named "Privacy" in case we were in any doubt.
He is a master of evasion in the interview room. Woods has lived his adult life in the glare of publicity. It is why his every move is micro-managed, why he is so careful with every public utterance, why the burly bodyguards follow his every step.
This is sport's first self-made billionaire. Within his substantial sphere he has presidential influence and is treated as royalty.
The world's top golfer has his own tried and trusted methods to deal with the attention he generates and it all comes down to controlling the situation.
It means making little or no eye contact with anyone other than his caddie and playing partners when he is on the course. This is perhaps best illustrated as he walks to the range ahead of a round.
Woods looks to the sky during October's Presidents Cup
At Hazeltine ahead of the third round of this year's USPGA in August, I well remember his march to the practice area. Fans were screaming support, demanding autographs or just a wave of acknowledgment. Woods stared straight ahead as he strode hands in pockets, seemingly oblivious to the commotion.
This went on for fully 100 yards. One was left to conclude that this was a man in a bubble of fierce concentration ahead of a massively important round. Nothing could disturb him and as a bi-product he was building further his aura of invincibility.
Then something very interesting happened. Woods arrived at his allotted spot on the range and the mask disintegrated into a huge smile. There was his mate Freddie Couples. A high five, a shared joke, a laugh and a giggle and a jibe followed to the big-hitting Alvaro Quiros who was the opposite side of Woods slot.
Was he really in a bubble of concentration as he made his way to the range? Probably, but the objective was merely to deflect the hysteria that was being directed Woods' way and to do nothing that might encourage it further.
Control is the key to all that Woods does. Control of the golf ball on the course, control of the circus he generates off it. Who knows what happens when he is behind the walls of his exclusive gated community in Orlando's Isleworth Estate because that is how he needs it to be.
Anything pertaining to his private life tends to be carefully managed through his website. For example take this answer to a question about how difficult it is for him to be away from his family when travelling to tournaments in a recent Q and A session on the site.
Woods said: "You're exactly right. Now, it's very difficult to leave Elin and the children, and I'm sure it's only going to get tougher. Once Sam and Charlie start school, it won't be easy to take them out of class for a week-long trip. A veteran pro once said it's tough to leave them as babies, but once they ask you not to go, it breaks your heart. That's something I'll always remember."
So this car crash in the middle of the night outside his home takes Woods into the sort of territory he loathes. So much of it is out of his control.
He will not be able to prevent the inevitable questions over what he was doing and where he was going on a Friday at 2.25 am. He will have little say over police accounts of what happened making their way into the public domain and will have to deal with a media army stationed outside his home.
The incident will dominate the Chevron World Challenge at Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles due to start on Thursday, which is his own tournament with proceeds benefiting the Tiger Woods Foundation. Think about it, LA - if ever there was a place where they know how to run with a huge showbiz story.
In the past year it has been noticeable that Woods has become ever more ill at ease in the public eye. This blog has noted the on-course tantrums, the club throwing at the Open and his morose demeanour during his early Monday morning practice at Turnberry.
For someone who seemingly has it all - a beautiful wife, a young family, fantastic wealth and exceptional talent there seems little in the way of obvious happiness.
Of course, this may be down to the fact that we only see one portion of the 33-year-old's life but it is more than apparent that the trademark smile is not a frequent as it once was and that he seems ever more irritable.
There was the club that went (accidentally) bouncing into the crowd during the Australian Masters last week after a different form of poor driving.
His ragged performance on the front nine of the final round in Shanghai had some observers muttering speculation that "there must be something wrong at the moment." It may just have been his game but it was seriously out of character and so far below his usual standard of golf, just as it was when he missed the cut at Turnberry.
I was with one leading player this week, someone who knows how to win majors, who commented that he "wouldn't want Tiger's life at any price". He added that the only place you can have a proper conversation with him is in the privacy of the locker room - that's when he can be one of the boys.
"He doesn't know what it's like to go to a shopping mall," the player added.
Now Woods' celebrity has veered off on a different course with the lack of control he seems to have shown at the wheel of his Cadillac.
Woods and his advisors will be desperate to assume command of the story and keep details to the barest minimum making their way into the public domain.
He will regard failure to do so as a serious impediment to his progress in establishing himself as the greatest golfer ever to play the game. He finds it tough enough to live life as a dominant figure on the back pages, how he will hate being front page news.
Sunday Times had an article today about how the mask is slipping following recent on course tirades and now this episode. The knives are out!
They also included a photo of this doll he's supposed to be boning. Chancy looking bit alright who is supposed to have history with high profile men.

If he was dogging around his commercial interests could take a bit of a beating.
Why? he does not even have to make a statement. All he has to do is to produce his license and registration and he will probably do enough to satisfy the law and no more.
Tiger Woods has hit out at "unfounded rumours" circulating since his car accident in the early hours of Friday.
The golfer was found semi-conscious with facial injuries after his car reportedly hit a fire hydrant and tree.
In a statement on his website the golfer said the only person responsible for the crash in Florida "was me".
He added: "The many false, unfounded and malicious rumours that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible."
The incident occurred in the suburb of Isleworth, an exclusive area near Orlando, at 0225 local time (0725 GMT) on Friday.
Florida police officers were told Woods' wife Elin had used a golf club to break the car's rear window and help him out.
Police were expected to question Woods about the incident on Sunday but the Associated Press reported that the meeting was cancelled for the third straight day.
Sgt Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol said Woods' lawyer did not reschedule the meeting.
'Incident stressful'
In a statement posted online about an hour before he was due to be interviewed, Woods said: "My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
"This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received.
"But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be."
Woods, who has been married for five years and has two young children, has recently been the subject of tabloid allegations about his private life.
Asked about reports the couple had been arguing in the hours leading up to the crash, the police said they were treating the incident as a traffic accident, not a domestic issue.
According to the highway patrol, alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
'Not life-threatening'
Chief Daniel Saylor of the Windermere Police Department said: "From what we understand, his wife came out of the house when she heard the accident, him hitting the fire hydrant, (and) used a golf club - that's what we were told - to break out the rear window to gain entrance into the vehicle, removed him from the vehicle and laid him down in the street.
"He was in and out of consciousness with lacerations to his upper and lower lip, with a little bit of blood in his mouth, but he was conscious enough to be able to speak a little bit. According to my officers, it was not life-threatening injuries."
In comments to the Associated Press news agency, Chief Saylor said his officers found the 33-year-old lying in the street with his wife hovering over him.
"She was frantic, upset. It was her husband laying on the ground."

Sounds like bullshit. A wagon that size would still be in reasonable shape after what appears to be a relatively low speed crash so knocking out the rear window to gain entry sounds like crap. I'm sure she could have walked up and opened any of the doors.
He still has a long way to go to convince me there isn't more to this than meets the eye. I'll be keeping an eye on the tiger.

Will Tiger and Elin be able to iron out this situation or will it drive a wedge between them?
I doubt if he would need a sand wedge to get his ball(s) of your woman's big bunker!
It just goes to show you - cheating is rife in golf.

Admittedly no. But a wee bit of blush would remove the manly jaw line.
Golfer Tiger Woods was to blame for the car crash he was involved in outside his Florida home on Friday but will not face criminal charges, police say.
Maj Cindy Williams from Florida Highway Patrol said Mr Woods was guilty of careless driving.
The golfer was found semi-conscious with facial injuries after his car reportedly hit a fire hydrant and tree.
The incident occurred in the exclusive suburb of Isleworth at 0225 (0725 GMT) on Friday.
At a news conference in Orlando, she said the golfer had been given a traffic citation for careless driving.
She said he had not been driving in a prudent manner but there was not sufficient evidence for police to issue a subpoena or seek any additional medical information from him.
On Monday, he withdrew from his own golf tournament blaming injuries from the crash.
Fresh reports now of Woods having a 2nd affair with a cocktail waitress who said she has evidence to back up her claims.
Also police found no blood in the car so he couldnt have sustained the cuts from the crash, and he also had no shoes on.
Apparantly this waitress has 300 texts

think i might put a pic of tigers wife in the hot chicks thread as she deffo a lot better looking than the two he's allegeldy knocking off.
Tiger released a statement to say he has let his family down and apologies for his actions.
No details of what he's sorry for or how good these other chicks are in the sack though.
Hope he withdrew from them as well or there could be a couple of paternity cases in the near future :o
He was trying to cover up the cuts on his head and face so the neighbours wouldn't see them.
He was in luck though, he had a handy cap.
statement released:
I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.
Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.
But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.
Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult.
I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.

Breaking News :o
After having no success with the golf club attack on her husband Mrs Woods then proceeded to use a wood shaver, when asked by police what she was doing she said she was simply playing her Mulligan.
This is going to get messy for Mr Woods.
How does half of $600 million sound?
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Tiger Woods said he let his family down with "transgressions" he regrets "with all of my heart," and that he will deal with his personal life behind closed doors.
His statement Wednesday follows a cover story in Us Weekly magazine that reports a Los Angeles cocktail waitress claims she had a 31-month affair with the world's No. 1 golfer.
"I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves," Woods said on his Web site. "I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone."
Woods did not offer details of any alleged relationship.
"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," he said.
"I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves," Woods said. "For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."
The cocktail waitress, Jaimee Grubbs, told the magazine she met Woods at a Las Vegas nightclub the week after the 2007 Masters — two months before Woods' wife, Elin, gave birth to their first child. Grubbs claims to have proof in 300 text messages.
About three hours before Woods' statement, the magazine published what it said was a voicemail — provided by Grubbs — that Woods left on her phone on Nov. 24, three days before his middle-of-the-night car crash outside his home in Florida.
Woods has been subjected to more media headlines during the last week than when he first won the Masters in 1997 and set off the first wave of Tigermania. He has spoken only three times through his Web site, although this was his longest posting.
"Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means," Woods said. "For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives."
And he continued to say accounts that physical violence played a role in his Friday morning car crash were "utterly false and malicious."
"Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect," he wrote.
His statement came one day after the Florida Highway Patrol closed its investigation into the accident — without Woods ever speaking to state troopers. He was charged with careless driving, which carries a $164 fine and four points on his driving record.
The story soon shifted from a patrol investigation to sordid allegations into his personal life.
In the voicemail released by the magazine, a man says to Grubbs:
"Hey, it's, uh, it's Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Um, can you please, uh, take your name off your phone. My wife went through my phone. And, uh, may be calling you. If you can, please take your name off that and, um, and what do you call it just have it as a number on the voicemail, just have it as your telephone number. That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."
The Associated Press could not confirm Woods was the caller.
I was hoping this was bollix, apparently not.
At least he isnt out there denying it in the face of insurmountable odds.
300 text messages and the skank even kept a voice mail from him, I hope him and the wife can sort things out but it will obviously be rough going for them.
31 months? is he feckin mad in the head?
If he left that voicemail he has some balls on him.

Aye but neither of them are his wife. That's the point. Even the wife of a highly paid sportsman probably doesn't put up the goods like she did before they got married and had children. A young, successful, world famous fella like Tiger won't find it hard to get the goods elsewhere should the notion take him. And it obviously did.

* What do baby seals and Tiger have in common? They both get clubbed by angry Scandinavians.
* Apparently the police asked Tiger's wife how many times she hit him. She said "I don't know exactly... but put me down for a 5."
* Tiger Woods is so rich that he owns lots of expensive cars. Now he has a hole-in-one.
* Elin's excuse? She had to play a bad lie.
* What's the difference between a car and a golf ball? Tiger can drive a ball 400 yards.
* What were Tiger Woods and his wife doing out at 2.30 in the morning? They went clubbing.
* Tiger Woods crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree. He couldn't decide between a wood and an iron.
* Why did Tiger leave the house so early? He has a 2:30 tree time.

Jesus its getting desperate for the tiger.
6 women and counting?
Quite the swinger.
Most of the ones he has been having affairs with are boot ugly as well. Seems like Tiger would s*** anything with a pulse.

TIGER WOODS: PORN STAR HOLLY SAMPSON NAMED AS SEVENTH 'OTHER WOMAN'
ABOVE: Tiger Woods has allegedly had an affair with a seventh woman
8th December 2009
By Nigel Pauley
SHAMED Tiger Woods suffered a new blow last night as it emerged his seventh "other woman" is a porn star.
Blonde bombshell Holly Sampson, 36, has appeared in such X-rated movies as Cougars In Heat, Unlimited MILFs and Emanuelle In Space.
And the tally of birdies is heading towards double figures, with more women set to come forward.
LA babe Holly has not spoken publicly about her alleged affair with 33-year-old Tiger but has refused to deny a fling.
Hollywood sources insisted it would only be a matter of time before she reveals all.
The news came as it was claimed the star told one of his "lovers" that his marriage was a total sham.
Being linked with a porn actress is a further blow to the golfing superstar's shattered nice guy image.
Hollywood insiders claim Holly specialised in "hardcore" movies and graphic pictures showing her indulging in all manner of sexual acts.
A Stateside source said: "Being linked with a porn actress is definitely not what Tiger needed. It will not go down well with his sponsors." Holly's name came into the frame in US reports, hot on the heels of Cori Rist, 31, being named as his alleged sixth mistress.
Cori, who is said to have met Tiger, 33, in a New York club last year, allegedly had regular romps with him and he would secretly fly her around the world.
A source said: "Tiger would get a large suite at a hotel and someone would book Cori an adjacent room." But Tiger's camp is bracing itself for more women to be linked with the 14-times Major winner.
It is alleged his "other" women include a wealthy older man-eater, a cocktail waitress and a British TV babe.
Meanwhile, one of his alleged mistresses claimed the golfer told her his marriage was a sham and insisted: "It's only for publicity." Lawyer Michael O'Quinn, who made the claim, has refused to name his client but insisted it is not model Jamie Junger who claims to have had an 18-month fling with Tiger.
O'Quinn claimed the woman met Tiger, who was then engaged to wife Elin Nordegren, 29, at Roxy Nightclub in Orlando, Florida in 2004.
The woman, then a 20-year-old cocktail waitress at the club, claims they had a two-year affair. Another waitress, Mindy Lawton, 33, has also been linked to him.
At least two of his alleged mistresses have signed big-money tell-all deals.
Last night Tiger's embattled advisers were said to be "bracing" themselves for fresh allegations from an unnamed woman.
Meanwhile, President Barack Obama, 48, was drawn into the Tiger scandal last night after appearing on the cover of a US Golf magazine with the shamed superstar.
Golf Digest's January edition features Tiger acting as a caddy for Obama under the headline: "Ten tips Barack can take from Tiger." The mag said the President could benefit from Woods-like image control, adding: "Tiger never does anything that would make him ridiculous."

They are still reporting that a woman is on 'advanced life support' here, further, another blond female followed the ambulance in a black escalade to the hospital. I am not making this up, this is what is being reported on espn.

Well if you stop trying to create the impression that it was a bitch fight gone wrong, the real story might come out. A few of the news agencies actually suspect it may be the wifes mother. Also, they report that the woman didn't actually want to travel in amubulance in first instance and the coverage of them going into the hospital is very calm for a "advanced life support" patient.

brilliant, board goldust steve (or should that be golfdust).
Btw, it now seems that the tiger had been on the tiger last week when he crashed (as one would expect, it being thanksgiving etc), the local cops were looking for the hospital blood samples as they suspected and were told by a witness at the scene (doubtless holding a golf club) that he'd been drinking earlier that day.

El Tigre, in an attempt to keep his wife has put a ton of mone into an account only she has access to, not only that but the pre nup has been redone and when she has finally had enough she will be a much wealthier woman than she would have been if Tiger hadnt banged every skank he ever met.

Soft drink brand Gatorade says it is to drop a Tiger Woods-endorsed product but said it was not related to revelations about the golfer's private life.
PepsiCo-owned Gatorade said the decision to axe the Tiger Focus drink was made a few months ago.
Since the 14-times major winner crashed his car on 27 November, many women have claimed to have had affairs with Woods.
There are also reports that adverts featuring Woods have vanished from US prime-time broadcast and cable TV.
We decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010
PepsiCo statement
According to data from US media research firm Nielsen, the last prime-time advert featuring the 33-year-old golfer was a 30-second Gillette item on 29 November.
That commercial was broadcast eight times during November, Nielsen spokesman Aaron Lewis said.
Woods' other sponsors include consultancy firm Accenture. He is reported to be the first sports star to be worth more than $1bn.
Nike has been Woods' biggest sponsor since the start of his career, signing its first contract with him as long ago as 1996.
'Mentally tough'
He signed a five-year deal with Gatorade in 2007 for an estimated $100m (£61.7m).
"We decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010," said PepsiCo in a statement.
The marketing of Gatorade is closely linked to sports. Other athletes it sponsors include former basketball player Michael Jordan and sprinter Usain Bolt.
Gatorade Tiger Focus was launched as a sports drink aimed at athletes.
Gatorade's website describes Gatorade Tiger Focus to be a drink "designed with athletes in mind, helping them to be as mentally tough as they are physically".
The drink was launched in March 2008, and according to soft-drinks' industry newsletter, Beverage Digest, the Woods-backed drink represented less than 5% of Gatorade's volume.

Tiger Woods to take 'indefinite leave' from golf
Woods has not been seen in public since the accident on 27 November
US golfer Tiger Woods is taking indefinite leave from professional golf to try to work on "healing" his family.
On a statement on his website, he said he was aware of the disappointment "my infidelity" had caused his family.
He said he wanted to "try to repair the damage done" and asked for privacy so his family "could heal".
Meanwhile, his lawyers have obtained a UK injunction preventing certain information purportedly about him being published.
On his website, Mr Woods said he was "profoundly sorry" and asked for forgiveness.
I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person
Tiger Woods
He said: "I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding.
"What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.
"After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person."
The UK injunction was granted by a judge at the High Court in London, and concerns alleged information which cannot be disclosed for legal reasons.
Last week Woods apologised to his family for "transgressions".
Intense speculation
Speculation about his private life has been intense since he was involved in a car crash outside his Florida home.
Newspaper allegations followed about extra-marital affairs.
Woods has not been seen in public since the accident, in which his car hit a tree and fire hydrant.
The golfer, who was found bleeding and semi-conscious, was later charged with careless driving, which carries a $164 (£98) fine and four points on his driving record.
Woods has become an international sporting icon since winning his first major in 1997 at the age of 21.
At 33, he is just four short of equalling Jack Nicklaus's record of 18 major victories and is regarded as one of the world's all-time great golfers.

No, but he done it to himself!
Created the situation he's in.
He's reaped the huge benefits that come with being an extremley successful sportsman and global icon - he should've known that this day was coming the way he was carrying on.
The whole question of how much privacy one can expect is a related issue, but I don't feel sorry for him. Yes, he's not the first person to get caught out cheating, and yes the ordinary Joe Soap doesn't get this much scutiny. But, this is what happens when you're this high profile, he knew that despite his protestations that he was unprepared for the level of tabloid scutiny.
Well maybe feeling sorry for him isn't exactly the right turn of phrase but I certainly don't feel let down by him as many commentators suggest we should be. In my eyes he's simply a sportstar I admire so I'm not really fussed what he does in his private life and when he comes back to golf I'll still be cheering him on just the same. I also used my gillette razor this morning without a pang of conscience
While I do have sympathy for him, he seems to me to have always wanted it both ways.
On one hand he does the public endorsements for big bucks and on the other he wants complete privacy.
On one hand he seems to be a serial adulterer and on the other he wants his privacy respected.
You also have to factor in the rather strange American view of morals. You can invade countries, sending young men to their death no problem, but infidelity is a mojor no-no. Ask Clinton.
I dont get the moral outrage either, yes what he done was wrong but he broke no laws, at least it was consenting adults he was shagging! it's up to him and the wife to sort it out.

I see that Stevie Williams is denying any knowledge of Tigers misdemeanors. Given the speculation that Tiger will remove all those surrounding him before returning to golf I'd like to throw my name into the ring to be his next caddy. What a job that must be, Tiger only plays about 20 times a year, wins 6 or 7 of them. The 10% cut plus expenses would do me rightly plus most importantly I could be relyed on to keep my mouth shut.

Steve Williams would be a fool to get involved. Woods has not done anything illegal so Williams is under no obligation to comment, especially as he is employed and paid very handsomely by Woods
Yeah, but all his birds were white. He even married snow white.

A major setback for the US black middle class where Woods was an important role model for the successful black person in a white environment. Have the disclosures allowed US whites to shake their heads about a racial stereotype? Either way, it is a blow to socially mobile blacks.
No drugs or weapons charges yet, so it could be argued that with marital infidelity he is still in middle-class, white territory.

Was it swingers night at the ethnic minority club?
well, according to wiki, that 1/8 caucasian is actually dutch - what do you reckon ;)
That makes sense. The dutch fecking hate the norwegians.
Is anyone else way past tired of this whole "scandal". I have zero interest in sports star's sex lives. The biggest tragedy of this whole affair is all the bad jokes it has spawned. Texts, emails, papers and on here as well. Its inescapable. I wouldn't care if Tiger buggered poodles in his spare time. I just like watching him play golf.
Just back from New York. If you think this scandal is in the news here, its nothing on how wall to wall it is over in the States. Every single day it was headline news, even the day after a 25 year old was shot dead in a shootout with a cop in a crowded Times Square with tourists everywhere. And the Tiger story that trumped it? That a potential seventh mistress had been found.

Well and truly bunkered I reckon
I don't normally take much interest in celebrity lifestyles or the related title tattle and gossip. However I think that the Tiger Woods story is different. Tiger has spent years creating a clean cut image. Much of this was done via the promoting of his good living and dedicated family lifestyle. Everything was done to maximize his earning potential and was well planned an executed.
I don't care who she sha66ed but it is as sad event for him and his family to have to sort out. The Tiger Woods brand however is badly tarnished by these stories, lets be honest it wasn't a fling rather a rampage. He will come back and he will keep winning and keep earning.
The level of respect for Tiger the person which was as high as the respect for Tiger the sportsman will never be regained.

He has to have a bit of Irish in him as well surely ?????
He is now being looked at as a potential doper, performing enhancing drugs have been found on his doctors person, who was caught with them on the canadian border, he has been arrested and Wood's agent had the gall to ask the Noo York Times not to report this fact and to 'give the kid a break'.
The kid, is 34 years old, a billionaire and was on New Zealand TV the day before the shit hit the fan telling the viewers that his family would always come before golf and the whole thing was a lie fest which is being aired over here soon.
Tiger is some cub, he is starting to lose sponsors and he will never command the respect he once did as a golfer or as a man, if he has been doping as is being suggested his career will be effective over, there would be no point in winning more majors and overtaking Nicholas because they will be tainted victories in the eyes of the public.

In fairness stew - a Dr who has performed a specific and legitimate process on wood's injured knee was found with performance enhancing drugs in his luggage at the border. That doesnt automagically involved Woods in a doping scandal. I think his agent was on the money to ask the NY times to not run with that angle particularly during a time where Tiger is getting it every which way.
Strange though that this morning the agent released a statement to ABC pretty much accusing the NY times of lying.

I see middle America has turnrd its back on Tiger now, he went from an approval rating of 87% (this was based on 2006 figures) to 33%.
"After that last tremendous drive, Tiger's ball's resting right on the lip of the hole"
"Wo! Tiger really threw his hips into that one!"
"Over the last few hours Tiger has shown us deep, powerful drives, sweet short strokes, and a knockout finishing touch.".
......Just a few of the expressions he can no longer use.

Don't ya just hate it when an interview comes back to bite ya in the ass
Pre-scandal Tiger interview emerges
Tiger Woods said his family is the best thing to ever happen to him in an interview touted as his last before he was engulfed in a sex scandal over his infidelity.
New Zealand sports commentator Murray Deaker conducted an eight-minute interview with Woods during last month's Australian Masters in which Woods talked about his family.
Speaking about having two children with his Swedish wife Elin, Woods said: 'It's been great actually; it's been the best thing that ever happened.'
In the interview screened in New Zealand for the first time on Tuesday, Deaker asked Woods about balancing golf and his family life.
'In every interview I've seen with you its family first and golf second -- always be like that?' Deaker asked.
'Always, always,' Woods replied.
He was also asked how he was able to maintain the focus needed to be the best golfer in the world while also being a good dad.
'Certainly I don't practise as much as I used to, I don't spend the amount of hours on the golf course like I used to.
'But my focus is so much more intense than it ever used to be because I don't have the time.
'I know I have to get done whatever I want to get done in a shorter amount of time.'
At least 12 women have reportedly claimed to have been lovers of Woods, who turns 34 on 30 December.
The New York Post reported Monday that a 13th woman, Julie Postle, was named by an ex-boyfriend as having had a fling with the billionaire golfer.
Deaker interviewed Woods in the middle of last month. On 25 November a tabloid newspaper revealed a relationship between Woods and New York show club hostess Rachel Uchitel.
Two days later the golfer crashed a vehicle into a tree and a hydrant outside his home, touching off a firestorm of bad publicity over his affairs.
Woods has since admitted infidelity and said he is taking an indefinite break from golf to work on being a better husband, father and person.

If memory serves me right so far in this thread u have accused him of being a wifebeater, potential murderer and now drugs fiend. Most of these claims have been backed up by some dubious evidence and fantastic distortion of facts on your behalf. If found guilty of any of these things he'll be rightly castigated but until then he'll be thought of us by most of us as a sportsman who f**ked up a bit.

I am for real, golfers hold themselves to a very high standard, they call penalties on themselves and the integrity of the game is revered, every team cheats in baseball and football.
Mark McGwire will not get into the hall of fame, he has hardly been seen since, Sosa career came to an ignominious end and A-Rod is now knwn as A Fraud, he will probably not go in either as things stand.

The worst thing he could o is do what he is doing, why not get in front of a few cameras at the press conference and tell the world that you are an idiot for doing what you did, that you are getting help and apologize to your family with sincerity and then get back on with your life.
all he is doing now is leting this story fester, new bitches crawling out of the woodwork and all the salacious stories are coming out and the thing is getting even worse.
I want to see this guy play again, I want to see how this impacts his game and I want to see if he can overcome this adversity, I hope he can but for the first time ever I am doubting his ability to overcome obstacles, losing his family would be hard to get over mind you.

Bollocks. He finally delivered in the post season and won the Yankees a World Series. Everyone loves him again.
Here is an email doing the rounds,
The real story
I have a Member who lives 10 houses down from Tiger in Isleworth. As we know Tiger's agent is Mark Steinberg. My Member plays golf and is real good friends with another IMG Agent; who is very good friends with Steinberg and they share the same office. This information came from the other IMG Agent to my Member, and then to me today, and according to them is up to date as yesterday when my Member left Orlando.
On Thanksgiving Day, after he and Elin and the family had Turkey Dinner, he spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch watching football and texting Rachel. After each received and sent text message he would clear his message box to rid himself of the evidence. Sometime in between there, one of his Orlando buds called him to see if he wanted to get together at the Clubhouse to play poker with the guys, to which Tiger said yes. Tiger left the house around 7:30 to go play poker, and left behind his cell phone....and one message he had forgot to delete from Rachel.
When Tiger returned home around 11:30 -12 that night, Elin confronted him about the text message in the phone, and the started a heated discussion to its regards. According to what I was told, there was more "incriminating evidence" than just the text message (i.e. photos). Tiger tried to play it off to Elin by telling her she was reading too much in to it, and did not know the story, etc. Tiger went upstairs to chance into his gym shorts and t - shirt, came back down, and Elin confronted him again; to which Tiger gave the same story. Tiger sat down in a chair in the living room, and Elin sat acorss from him urging Tiger to just come clean. Tiger stayed to his guns and denied everything. At one point Tiger turned away to look at the TV, and as he turned back, Elin hit him on the right side of the face with the head of a 9 - iron. When she struck Tiger, she put a huge gash in the right side of his face next to his nose (causing his nose to bruise some), and virtually knocking two of his upper teeth out, and breaking the bone on the upper right side. Tiger ran scared as hell out of the house (which is why he had on no shoes) with Elin swinging the golf club thoughout the hallway to the garage (i.e causing the severe damage which has been reported). Tiger hoped in the Escalade and tried to leave; and as we know Elin knocked out the windows in the Escalade. When Tiger crashed, Elin panicked and was not sure what to tell the police (which is why there are two conflicting stories from her). When this happened, Elin immediately called Mark Steinberg to tell him what happened, and Mark told Elin to tell him what hospital they were going to, and he would meet them there.
Tiger is transported to the hospital with Elin in the ambulance, and as they arrive Mark is there waiting for them. The people from the hospital and the doctors take Tiger in for X-Rays etc to check out the damage caused. The doctors tell Mark there is not much they can do to repair the teeth and the gash, but the doctor knows a cosmetic dentist and plastic surgeon in Phoenix who will make Tiger look as if nothing happened. Tiger tells Mark to get the jet ready and lets head to Phoenix to get this done. Friday after Tiger is released from the hospital, he does not return home, he and Mark board the plane for Phoenix. If you remember FHP kept showing up at Isleworth to talk to TIger, and was told by another FL attorney (who Tiger hired for PR reasons) Tiger was not ready to talk. Well now we know why, he was in Phoenix, and did not arrive back in Orlando until either late last Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. The surgeries were more intense than what they had originally planned, which meant Tiger was in PHX longer than he should have been. Upon arriving back in Orlando, Tiger and Elin have been in intense marriage conseling sessions (up to 6 to 7 hours a day) every day! Both Tiger and Elin have told the conselors they love each other, and want to make the marriage work. The reports you are reading on TMZ and RadarOnline are about 30% accurate at best according to Mark.
In regards to Tiger's boat being in Palm Beach this week, along with Rachel; that part is true. However, Tiger is not on the boat, and is not in Palm Beach; and Rachel is not on the boat. Her parents live 6 blocks from where the boat is, but that is it. Tiger has not returned to his house at Isleworth since the day of the accident except for the therapy sessions. IMG has enlisted the assistance of one of its most recognized sports figures, and Tiger has taken up residence in his neighborhood; Bay Hill. IMG contacted Arnold Palmer because of the high regard in which Tiger holds Arnold. Arnold has agreed, and IMG has said if anyone can get through to Tiger, Arnold may be the only person who can based on his public persona when he was at the height of his game as well. The moving trucks being shown on TMZ and RadarOnline are moving out pictures and furniture which was damaged during their Thanksgiving Day argument; not of her moving out. Yes, Elin has retained a divorce attorney, but has not filed any papers, and as of yesterday had no intention on doing so. Tiger has not made any public appearances or statements due to the surgery and plastic surgery he had in PHX. It will be about another month if not more before he gets in front of a camera. Yes, Tiger is hitting golf balls late at ngiht at Bay Hill out of their teaching center (which is equipped with lights).

Woods dropped by AT&T
Thursday, 31 December 2009 17:19
US telecoms giant AT&T has announced that it was dropping its sponsorship deal with disgraced golfing star Tiger Woods who has been embroiled in a sensational sex scandal.
'We are ending our sponsorship agreement with Tiger Woods and wish him well in the future,' the company said in a statement.
It is the latest blow for Woods since he crashed his car into a tree and fire hydrant in the early hours of 27 November, unleashing a storm of revelations about his personal life.
The crash came just days after a US tabloid had reported that he was having an affair and thrust Woods and his wife, Elin, and two young children into the centre of a media storm.
As the revelations grew, Woods was linked to at least 14 other women, forcing the golf superstar to admit in a statement on his website that he had been unfaithful.
'He also said he was taking an indefinite break from golf to focus on rebuilding his marriage.
In one of the most stunning falls from grace ever seen, Woods's squeaky-clean marketing juggernaut image was destroyed.

Report: Tiger Woods's wife Elin boasts of £185m divorce
Tiger Woods's estranged wife Elin has told friends that she has agreed a £185 million divorce settlement, according to a newspaper report.
The News of the World claims the 30-year-old Swede told friends about the settlement, reportedly laughing as she described it as a "$300 million Christmas present" from the superstar golfer.
Since news of Woods's serial philandering broke late last year, the world number one has been at the centre of a media storm that has seen 18 women claim to have had relationships with him.
Rumours of a possible divorce have been circulating ever since, and the News of the World's source claimed that Elin Woods is determined to split up with her husband for good: "She's more focused than ever about moving on with her life," the source was quoted as saying.
The source also added that Elin has begged the world number one to seek professional help over his fragile mental state, and refused to let him see his children over Christmas as he was "not stable enough".
Tiger has also reportedly stopped communicating with several of his closest aides, and is apparently considering extending his break from the game until 2012.

I can't imagine him being the same player in 2 years time. He should get back to competition golf within 6 months. All he did was buck a few women behind the wife's back. It's not right but neither is it a hanging offence. He didn't kill anyone or get caught up in anyhing illegal so the sooner he faces the world the better.

+1.
The Us public and media put Tiger on a high horse that he was never really worthy of and he has had a bit of a break down. no big deal in life really, but that is what the media does it builds people up and then knocks them down. Tiger needs to take time out to find himself. I know that sounds a bit wishy washy but it is probably true in the case of Tiger as his existence has not really been normal.

The sooner he gets in front of a camera and gets his first interview out of the way the better, if he waits a year and then comes back I dont see him beating the major total, he would be far better off playing away and getting back into his golfing routine.
I hope shagging tose ten wemen was worth it, it's going to cost him his family and over 300 mil. :'(

Maybe has been mentioned in earlier posts but seems the cheetah needed reconstructive surgery on his face after she hit him with the iron. If a man did this to his wife after she had an affair there would be outrage and he would certainly be charged. It's a woman's world...

GM ends car loans for Tiger Woods
Woods had an endorsement contract with Buick until 2008
Carmaking giant General Motors (GM) has said an arrangement that allowed troubled golf star Tiger Woods free access to its vehicles is over.
The world's number one golfer had an endorsement contract with GM's Buick brand, but that ended in 2008.
However, an arrangement remained that allowed him to keep several GM motors on loan. A company spokesman has now said the deal ended at the end of 2009.
Woods has lost a number of endorsements since crashing his car on 27 November.
A GM spokesman said the loan arrangement had previously been scheduled to end on 31 December.
Hardly surprising - considering it was a car crash that set the whole thing in motion to begin with.
GM should have been the first people to pull the tiger pin.
The jewellers beside work finally took down the Tag Hauer poster with woods on it.
Poor Tiger. How much is JobSeeker's allowance in the states?
I can't wait for when he makes a comeback, wins a major and everybody "hops on" again, all except Tiger of course ! ;)

Tiger Woods is reportedly targeting a return to golf at the WGC Match Play Championship in Arizona on 17 February.
World number one Woods, 34, who has won 14 majors, has not appeared in public since crashing his car last November and later admitting to "infidelity".
"Rumours of his return surfaced in Australia and were initially greeted with scepticism, but persist," said BBC golf correspondent Iain Carter.
"It would be a surprise but a reliable source says he will play in Arizona."
Woods, announced on 12 December 2009 that he was taking an indefinite break from playing golf to tackle problems in his private life.
His last tournament was the Australian Masters in Melbourne, which he won on 15 November. The crash happened 12 days later.
The Melbourne Herald Sun newspaper reports that his management team has approached organisers about the logistics of playing at the WGC event at Dove Mountain in Arizona.
what would they tell him in sex therapy to stop the antics that caused tigers troubles?
"don't look at nice women,Tiger"
or would Tiger be better taking the old Podge and Rodge mantra of "hurling, hurling, football, football, mary harney, mary harney"
it seems as though the whole world is having affairs these days, maybe Podge and rodge were banging lucey and we will never know.
I see he has arranged a stage managed press conference at PGA HQ for Friday, with the Masters looming it was only a matter of time.
ESPN are understandably all over this, talk this morning about tomorrows press conference being one of those "Where were you when tiger broke his silence" kinda big deals. Which is pretty pathetic.
One microphone, and no questions taken after his statement.
Still quite the arrogant man.
Ernie Els is none to pleased as there is a pretty important tournament going on that weekend.
Press Conferences should be on Mondays.
Can you imagine how much an advert would be before and after the press conference ?
I assume there'll be ad breaks ??
I wouldnt imagine there will be breaks during the actual conference - he will be reading a pre prepared statement only. Probably before and after there will be a bunch.
Be funny if one was super religious like for the mormons or the group that did the anti abortion commercial for the superbowl.
He is reading a statement and that is it, he will feck off back to the mansion and will show up sometime in the next two weeks to prep for the masters.
He is also staging it whilst the third round of a tournament is going on, the sponsor of said tournament is a former sponsor who dropped him. He is one bitter, bitter man and if he had any cop on at all he would recognize why they dropped him. McIlroy is some pup, whilst the rest of the golfing world stay pc so as not to upset el tigre, McIlroy comes out and says there is probably a bit of revenge at play, fair play to him for calling it what it is but I am sure he is off Tigers christmas card list and will no doubt be blackballed.
I dont think the golfing fraternity are going to continue to acquiese to every whim that Tiger has.
I think he might find himself marginalised and life may be very different for him after this carry on.
Im sure McIlroy could care less.
The press will not let the issue lie with him reading a statement - that wont satisfy them, or the general public.

Did Ernie Els not say the same? It is in the best interests of the golfers to have Tiger back, if he quit you would see a drop in prize money and sponsorship, whether they like it or not he is the biggest gig about.

Els and Garcia just said the timing of it was bad, and Els said it was selfish.
McIlroy was just talking about how he was sick of hearing about tiger and his comeback - as far as I have read.
McIlroys comments were then removed from copies of the interview given to journalists. That's how important Tiger is seen. Probably by McIlroys agent/management.
You think something McIlroy could say would bother tiger woods? After all that watson, nickalaus et al have said?
If the statements were removed it was his agent, or maybe himself just trying to fly under the radar for a while. I think.

Tiger Woods loses Gatorade sponsorship
Tiger Woods' public apology has not appeased his sponsors
Energy drink firm Gatorade has ended its sponsorship of Tiger Woods.
Gatorade is the latest major company to cut ties with the sportsman following Woods' admission that he was unfaithful to his wife.
The drinks company, owned by PepsiCo, had already discontinued a Tiger Woods-themed drink, Tiger Focus. It follows AT&T and Accenture in ending deals.
However, Gatorade said it would continue its partnership with the charitable Tiger Woods Foundation.
Therapy
A spokeswoman for Gatorade said: "We no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts and have ended our relationship... We wish him all the best."
Its move comes just one week after the star made a frank public address to a select gathering at PGA Tour headquarters in Florida.
In his statement Woods apologised to his wife, friends and family, as well as to his fans.
"I was unfaithful, I had affairs and I cheated. What I did was unacceptable," he said.
Woods, 34, told the hand-picked attendees he had spent 45 days in therapy and claimed he still had "a long way to go" to overcome his problems.
Distance
Gatorade is the third company to end its relationship with Mr Woods.
Communications company AT&T and corporate services business Accenture previously cut their sponsorship deals.
Male grooming business Gillette and luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer have also distanced themselves from him.
Carmaking giant General Motors (GM) said recently an arrangement that allowed Woods free access to its vehicles was over.
Wealthiest athlete
The world's number one golfer did have an endorsement contract with GM's Buick brand, but that ended in 2008.
Such arrangements made Tiger Woods the world's wealthiest athlete, estimated to have earned £66m ($100m) a year in endorsement deals before allegations of infidelity emerged in December of last year.
A recent University of California study suggested the total economic damage of the Tiger Woods affair to all involved parties could amount to as much as $12bn.
But sports equipment giant Nike, which pays Woods a reported $40m a year, has given its support.
And video game maker Electronic Arts is to go ahead with plans to roll out an online game featuring the golfer.

A very good documentary. Don't think anyone will be silly enough to post the contents of it on a public forum in Ireland.
Allegedly daddy woods was a bit of a nutjob, green beret in nam and wanted to "view death in the face" went on a few tours there, came home, tiger was born and daddy wods was convienced that tiger was destined for greatness( tiger was named after the local guide in nam that saved daddy woods life by taking a python off his face) daddy ran tigers life by making tiger follow a rigid set of SOP's ( standard operating procedures) for every waking minute of his childhood days, he also had him attend a retired us army shrink who practised mind altering techniques on him that block out experiences good or bad to keep him in the zone, all real quack stuff that was discredited in nam.
Dady had tiger enrolled in the navy golf club and allocated a professional as a tutor who had tiger practise for up to7-8 hours every day, al this before the lad was 10/11.
He was very much the class nerd when at school and would have suffered a fair bit of slagging/bullying some with v racist undertones and all through his teen years would have led a very sheltered life, left the family unit to be signed by IMG and the rest is history.
That mindy yoke was as rough as a hounds tooth though, no excuse for banging that even 8 pints!!

I know, why can't he just admit he likes a chancy bit of stray like the next man!!!
I thought the whole thing was very seedy, and by that I mean the presentation of the documentary. It was like a real hack job done on the cheap knowing that with Tiger's story it would sell. The lapdancer was tacky as fcuk in her "work clothes" and if Tiger was supposed to do what was alleged then how the fcuk did he have time for golf????
Sure he sowed his wild oats but make it sound realsitic at least ::)
Agree with Boycey, the presenter was dire, turned off after an hour.

The dude being interviewed in the truck thought he was the dogs danglies. Who was he? National Enquirer?
C'est la vie say the old folks - it goes to show you really can't tell...
How much in the end?
It might not ever come out - but the whole hush hush manner of this leads me back to a rumour I first heard 2 months ago.
She got half - but she can't ever talk about their relationship/marriage/divorce.
Half for her silence - not a bad deal.
I doubt she wants to talk about it anyway....
Might settle Tiger down now that it's all finished..

Cannot have been easy - he's a human bean at the end of the day and that carry on would take it's toll on anyone - private or public eye.
A human bean? :D
Well at least he can back now to winning ways after the settlement is sorted out and he can get back to the ladies a free man !!! ;)

LL - I think his first port of call is getting his golf career back on track.
Heard a rumour yesterday that his kids are not allowed to be around any girlfriend he might ever have - at least until it is a serious thing and the ex wife gives approval.

.
Joking aside,Do you think he will ever reach the heights he did?
I can't ever see him being as consistently good as he was.
He has lost a lot of momentum - but the natural talent is still there. Considering what has been going on - he still had three top 10 major finishes this year.
I wouldn't rule it out - but I don't think it will be next year.
Lots of these new young americans - and the likes of the Molinari's and McElroy.
The top 10 of the USPGA leaderboard on the 3rd and 4th day was pretty much full of these younger 20 somethings. I think a few of them are going to be around to stay.

Tiger's new caddy - Joe LaCava.
Just a little more info..........http://news.yahoo.com/woods-hire-dustin-johnsons-caddie-222314407.html
Swing coach Butch Harmon recommended LaCava to Johnson, and said Sunday night he was ''shocked'' by the change.
''The thing that bothered me the most was T.W. not calling Dustin and asking if he could talk to Joe,'' said Harmon, who used to work with Woods. ''That's the way it's done. I'm a little disappointed with the way Tiger handled it. But I'm not surprised.''

Steve Williams seems intent on making as right tit of himself allright. Tiger sacked him big deal get over it.
Saturday November 05 2011
Steve Williams last night stunned the world of golf with an extraordinary racist insult against former employer Tiger Woods.
The controversial New Zealand caddie had been asked on stage, during a dinner at the HSBC Champions in Shanghai, to explain his notorious gloating celebration after Adam Scott's win at Akron in August. He replied, in reference to Woods: "My aim was to stick it right up his black a*******."
The remark by Williams left the audience of players, caddies and sponsors aghast.
While the occasion had been intended as a light-hearted celebration of the 'caddie of the year' award, Williams' comment was uniformly seen as beyond the pale and escalated his bitter sniping at Woods to a remarkable new level.
Scott, the Australian world No 8 whose bag Williams took over after being sacked by Woods in July was listening, alongside other top-10 players including Rory McIlroy.
The incident took place when Williams, who received a tongue-in-cheek award from fellow caddies for 'celebration of the year', was invited to recall his infamous swipe against Woods in Ohio three months ago.
The 47-year-old said after victory for Scott at the Bridgestone Invitational in their first tournament together: "I have been caddying for more than 30 years now and that is the best win of my life.
"A lot has been said and it is great to back it up. I back myself as a frontrunner as a caddie and I have won again."
He later clarified: "I had a lot of emotions going on all week. When Adam won, all of a sudden that emotion poured out. But it's time to move on. The Tiger thing is over."
Not if this latest performance was any gauge. The racist "black" barb in Williams' attack betrayed the depth of his antipathy towards Woods.
He had been at the former world No 1's side for 13 of 14 of his Major championship victories, winning more than £3m in the process, before the acrimonious split.
Williams stayed consistently tight-lipped during the sex scandal that engulfed Woods in 2009 and has since claimed he feels that loyalty was betrayed.
WASTED
He said in an interview with New Zealand television, following his July firing: "You could say I've wasted the last two years of my life. I've stuck with Tiger and been incredibly loyal.
"I'm not disappointed I've been fired -- that's part of the job -- but the timing is extraordinary. I, along with a lot of people, lost a lot of respect for Tiger and I pointed out before his return at the Masters in 2010 that he had to earn back my respect. Through time I hope he can gain my respect back."
That prospect looks impossible in the wake of Williams' outburst in China last night.
Williams has been an arrogant p***k for decades, he was a reflection of his former boss in that department.
The rules dont apply to Woods, he has no class and I hope he never wins again because of that, that said, at his best nobody ever played the game at a level he played it at.
himself and hefty are the two most disliked pros in the states apparently.
Which is the offensive word here?
Is it calling Woods black or an arsehole?
Williams is a tube who should get over himself. Lucky to have been paid anything never mind £3 million for carrying Tiger Woods bag, look at all those women who basically got nothing for doing the same.

Tiger's back !!!
Tiger Woods ended a frustrating victory drought of just over two years when he clinched the Chevron World Challenge which he hosts by one shot, holing a six-foot birdie putt at the last.
A stroke behind fellow American Zach Johnson overnight, Woods fired a three-under-par 69 at Sherwood Country Club to claim the 95th tournament win of his career - but his first since the 2009 Australian Masters.
Tiger reportedly trying to win back Elin with a move that includes a 350$ million contract if he cheats.
He better write that contract good, she could be off with the money if he forgets to sign a scorecard, or brushes a leaf in a bunker!

Cheaper that way ?
Or maybe he just loves her ?
I want to say $350million is over half of what his net worth is. Must be love alright.
