Thinking of buying a new mobile phone, but not sure what to buy. Have had a nokia for about 3 years now. Anyone suggest a good phone thats lasts a good while and is not too dear? Was thinking of getting a sony ericsson.

I have a Samsung J700 for nearly 12 months.
Was only about 50 quid and it's 100%.
Dont think you can go wrong with a Sony Ericsson.
I need a cheap mobile myself as illdecide junior decided to throw my mobile into the bath with his yellow duck...that was the end of that.
Got used to the Sony Ericsson phones and would like another one if i could get one for under £50

its as good as a reception you get on a mobile phone. you press two buttons on the phone and the screen goes blank so anyone looking at the phone thinks it off, just ring the phone and it auto answers and you listen in.

It's a bloody good, reliable phone if all you need it to make/receive calls and messages. There is one in our house somewhere as a standby. How many of the new generation phones will still be working in ten years time?!
Got a new W995 Sony Ericsson yesterday, looks ok so far but haven't had a chance to give it a good seeing too
I gotta say, of all the Nokias I've had, the 3310 was my favourite.

Looks like, and probably is, the phone I got in 1998.
