The GAA has confirmed that the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Qualifier between Antrim and Kerry will have a 2pm throw in on Sunday at O'Connor Park, Tullamore.
The game will be refereed by Donegal official Jimmy White

Kerry and Antrim might be late in starting anyway.
Saffron manager Liam Bradley has already hit out at the choice of venue for the qualifier against the Kingdom.
Following discussions between Antrim and Croke Park on Tuesday, an earlier start time was announced.
Bradley believes the game should be staged at Parnell Park in Dublin after the Saffrons hurling side play Offaly.
"It's a disgrace - you've got these bureaucrats at Croke Park who haven't a clue," Bradley told the Irish News.
"You would have got 7,000 or 8,000 Antrim fans going to Dublin but you'll be lucky to get 1,500 at Tullamore."
He added: "Antrim hurlers are playing Offaly at Parnell Park and it was obvious to put the footballers on after them for a double-header.
"I hear they're using the U2 concert at Croke Park as an excuse and the Kerry supporters will have trouble getting into Parnell Park. Sure
there'll be no Kerry people at it anyway."
I think your right Liam!!!

:D
He is right, there will be a few Kerry wans there but this decision is a disgrace, it would make far more sense to have the footballers and hurlers from Antrim play at the same stadium and it would boost the size of the crowd. Somebody needs to shake the decision makers on this fiasco.
It isn't that easy, the two games would not fit in Parnell Pk without tickets, and I presume that Antrim did not wish to move the hurling to Tullamore.
mods, any chance ye'd merge this with the other kerry v antrim thread? i didnt realise one was open (by only a few minutes in my defence!) when i started this one

Why not? Parnell Park holds 13500. It 's highly unlikely Offaly and Kerry will bring more than 3 or 4 thousand between them and Antrim at most might bring 7 or 8 thousand.

it is difficult to say, there are quite a few people with Kerry connections in Dublin as well as any travelling support and there were a more than 7000 Antrim people in Clones. The point is that if the crowd might be more than 80% of the capacity then tickets are required, which is hard to manage. Of course everything would have fitted into Navan or Portlaoise.

To be honest I didn't think Antrim were great at all in the their last game. There defence was no where near the level of what Sligo put up to Kerry in the last game. Kerry by 5.

according to the commentary, antrim won the toss and elected to play against the strong breeze ..
Kerry there for the taking I guess but I reckon they'll just stick at it and know what to do late on. I hope I'm wrong. My God though it is hard to believe they were within a Declan O'Sullivan kick of winning the All-Ireland last year. If Antrim convince themselves that they can do it then they will. But that will be the problem.

Love it the boys on Radio Kerry reckon that Kerry would not beat Tyrone or Dublin at the moment maybe not even Kildare, no mention of Mayo, hope to meet Kerry in the next round. They rating Sligo better than Antrim.
What time is the draw at in Ireland, is it soon? Its quarter to one in the morning here.
kerry werent playing tyrone or dublin at the 'moment'
fair play to antrim, paddy cunningham is some player

Wasn't my point, they rating Dublin and more suprisingly Kildare ahead of Mayo, another reason I hope we meet Kerry, hopefully their players will be under the same delusion too.
Managerial genius by Jack O'Connor. I think him not naming his team to the last minute was the winning of that game.
tyssam5, you might have me down as a Kerryman - I'm not - Mayo meself. I just think that today was Kerry's most convincing performance of the last three by a country mile, and they're not playing any worse than Tyrone were when they scraped past Mayo last year. It wouldn't surprise me if today was the launchpad for greater things from Kerry, just as that match was for Tyrone in '08.

kerry need to wake the fock up and now and tyrone are the team they'll wake up for. q/f is the perfect time for kerry to get tyrone with nothing expected from kerry. kerry will beat any off the other teams in the q/f but i'd rather get tyrone now then later

mayo can win the ai and i'd love to see them win it if kerry dont because imo after kerry no one loves their football more (try to get a ticket for an ai that involves mayo). however this kerry team has their number for better or for worse. tyrone dont have their number btw and mayo could well beat them. kildare and the dubs just make each other look good and donegal wont go any further. so imo the ai is between kerry/cork/tyrone and mayo (if they avoid kerry)

Thats exactly it though magickingdom, Kerry don't have the make of this Mayo team, this Mayo team is a new team. 6 Mayo players started their first Connacht Final in 2009.

Cork v Kerry
Tyrone v Donegal
Kildare v Meath
Dublin v Mayo

Mayo cannot play Dublin next, both provincial champions.
seemed like a big crowd at the game today despite liam bradleys reservations. however how such a game was not on live on tv is beyond me. also it should have been in belfast or killarney - the home fixtures worked very well in the first 3 rounds so why not in round 4? if that game was in belfast in would help football there imo
Listening to Kerry radio there and the thought is, the Kingdom aren't yet ready for Tyrone
and the hope is that they draw Mayo as they play "good open football like ourselves" ::)
Last I checked intentionally fouling the man coming out of defense to stop the momentum
and let their own defense get back into position is hardly "Good open football"
I'd like to see the free stats in the middle 3rd today against Kerry.
They really are as deluded as ever down there and that's OK :D
Pity for Antrim... Galvin's goal was the killer.
Still they have came on leaps and bounds this season and are a good young team, playing division three football next year will help as well.
Could they do a Tipp?? Might check the odds when it comes out...
Hard luck to Antrim, had a great season and no shame in bowing out to Kerry. I was amazed at the number of frees hot so badly wide, was the wind that bad? Kerry looked poor for first half but did what they had to in the last 10 minutes of the game. The longer they hang in there the more likely they are to put in a serious performance. I thing if they were drawn against Tyrone now they might catch them. Thread seems to have been hijacked by a few Tyrone lads rubbing it up Kerry, I'd wait til the end of September before starting that craic lads. Anyway once again hard luck Antim , the two wing backs had quality games and but for a wee bit of cuteness and a bit more exeperinec could of been yours.

Fair dues to Darragh Ó Sé who is getting better and fitter with every game. Antrim were the 18th county he's defeated in the championship. 5 Munster, 4 Connaught, 3 Leinster, 6 Ulster. Meath and Tyrone the odd ones out.

Antrims year could prob be compared with Fermanaghs breakthrough year in 04. Disappear? They've been there or thereabouts every year since.
Any way, hard luck to Antrim. In a great position with such a young team to push on and get Antrim where it should be.

Yes. Waiting to see Marc Ó Sé's 'perfect tackle'.
So are the RTE / CCCCCCCCCC panel. ;)
What's the chances it won't be shown ?
Just back from Tullamore (called in to see me mammy on the way home).
I was very dissappointed after the game, and as a blow-in I still feel proud of what they did. A great bunch of players and I hope they stablise their Div 3 status and no reason why thay cant push on for Div 2. They'll probably loose McGreevy and Kevin Brady (and McKeever to Australia) but the rest of the team should be there next year?
Kerry will benefit from that game more than any other this year.
Antrim may say they were unlucky but Kerry always had the players to up their game. The Kerry subsitutions was the key difference. They came on and played imrpoved the team, whereas Antrim's subs either kept the status quo or less. If only Loughry had kept his shot on goal low.
Played well for Antrim I thought was Aodhan Gallagher. Great catching and running with the ball (I'll caveat that by saying I never get the same mom as the experts). Its a pity that Niall McK is leaving. If Antrim fed him steaks for the next ten months he would improve immensely. I know he is young, but he was being shouldered off the ball too easily. Quite often it was left to Tomas McCann to catch midfield ball and he must be the smallest man on the pitch. Fair play to him though for getting up for the ball.
Overall a clean enough match I thought - just a few badly timed tackles. I hope the Antrim kids go home start practising their kicking and catching and their dads intoduce them to their local club.
Btw, who was the Antrim player who initially sat facing the wrong way for the team photo? :)
No mention of the O'Se "incident" in the highlights anyway. Maybe they will pick up on it in the analysis.

The 5 frees were the killer blow. Stupid easy frees and all within 25 yards of the goal.
The showed the aftermath of it I think when they were talking about Galvin. Showed him going in to take O'Se away.
I was convinced that the Antrim goal would have been disallowed for too many steps. I lost count of the number.

The RTE website tv listings page had the game down for live transmission on the TV3 schedule.
Attendance was 8514 according to the Irish news. More than 500 from Kerry there too.
Kerry would be improved by about five points by picking Bryan Sheehan in goals and taking him out to hit the frees.

bullshit, we far outnumbered the green and gold
nearly as shit a Jimmy White's refereeing--i'll never go back to donegal
he gave Kerry a rake of dodgy frees after half time--straight after White had been booed off and surrounded by senior Kerry player going off at half time
gutless
Just watched the game to RTE Catch Up but didn't show the incident involving Marc O'Se. Just showed the aftermath of it.
I thought the ref did okay. As always, any errors did balance out.
Don't think Antrim can have too many complaints about the free's Kerry got in the 2nd half. All 5 were silly free's to give away in scoreable positions.
