Could someon outline for my and others to benefit, as GAA sports what role do rouders and handball play. Is handball not a professional international sport, is it affiliated in the USA to the GAA. What about Rounders and its role within the GAA, someone told me that they had won 2 all ireland medals in Croke Park for playing rounders. What future does it have. I have heard it could be the next big thing? Are there any more GAA sports out there that we should know of?

No hurling is the oldest recorded game
The following are classed as Gaelic Sports:
Hurling, Camogie, Ladies Football, Men's Football, Handball and Rounders.
All of these sports will fall under the umbrella of a new assoication in 2009, the "integration process" has been running now for two years and is headed by Derry's Ryan Feeney (I think?) from my understanding integration means that the sporting bodies will work closer together and will eventually form one overall organisation.
Handball is known to have been played by the Egyptians and Romans... a bit older then hurling I would have thought. There are very few ACTUAL historic references to hurling - seems to have come to Ireland in the early medieval period from Scotland where it has remained in the original form of Shinty
