Title: Woolies
Post by: maggie on November 26, 2008, 08:46:11 PM
So it looks like another classic has fallen asunder due to the CC.
But the question i pose is- 'Whats your fav pic 'n' mix?'

Mine is the cola bottles and the pink shrimps.
Love them.

I'm a bit gutted about woolies.

Them pick n mixes were/are a rip off though.  No matter how little you had in the bag it'd seem to come to a tenner!

(Not as big a rip off as this old fashioned sweet shop beside me, they've the Jars in the window etc, very nice, but a quid for a 100g of sweets! :o)

Not a fan of fizzy sweets generally but do like the fizzy cola bottles. Generally like chocolate brazils, jelly babies and rum n raisin fudge in my mix.

It always cost me a fortune for a few sweets in the bottom of a bag.

And they were trying to sell the business off for £1.

I'll have a piece of that!

It's been on a slippery slope since the internet & torrents / mp3 players so I'm not surprised it has come about.

White mice
cola cubes

woolworths owned a company called euk who deliver cds, Dvd and games to retail shops. They lost a contract to supply tesco a few years ago which  i guess hurt them alot. With torrents and supermarkets selling cds and the like there was't to many going to woolworths to buy their cds.

My shares in Woolworths and my wife's opinions are extremely similar.

They're both worthless.
