Title: GAA DVD's
Post by: omagh_gael on November 16, 2008, 07:58:03 PM
Does anyone know of any DVDs of this years championship or when they will be released? Who put together the SAM 05 DVD which i thought was very good and will SAM 08 be available this year? Plus any other general GAA DVDs that would be worth purchasing?

its easy to miss if you are driving to it,if you are coming from portadown direction its up a drive way on the right hand side, a few hundred yards once you go over the motorway bridge. there may be a sign but i'm not sure, haven't been in a few months.. great selection of county and club gear

Come off the Northway at the lights signposted Seago/Carn Industrial Ests and head for Carn Industrial Est (Carn Road). As you drive down here there's a road on your left called the Charlestown Rd. Go down here about a mile and a half or so passing and electricity substation (or something similar) and motorway bridge and yer womans shop is on the right hand side. Looks like normal residential place from the outside but she'll normally have a wee sign on the road.

Visited this place for the first time today, Jesus it is a good bit out of the way, took a while finding it... Near drove past it as well...

Great wee shop though, got mself a couple of tops, has all the top counties stocked plus all the local clubs.

Pity it didn't have a better location

I bought a DVD from Give Her Dixie of Tyrone's AI win last year.  It's all John's own copyrighted photos of the day set to U2 'Walk on' and David Bowie 'Heroes'.

Best £10 I ever spent.  It's absolutely brilliant. Mickey Harte even got a copy of it.

SAM 05 - 08 and LIAM 05 - 08 all good as well the 'Marooned' dvd documenting Westmeath's historic Leinster win in 05 under Páidí Ó Sé. Loads of other good ones out there. The Royal Battle featuring the 4 game Dublin v Meath saga of '91 is another excellent one.
