The only question that matters is whether anyone can beat Corofin for the sake of the Galway footballers

ah ref is saying Anthony Cunningham for the Rossies. good appointment but as hes not a Rossie if they don't win the all ireland in 2019 they'll turn on him
Wrong thread. Try the County Manager Merry go round one.  Ah ref also said Rochford leaving was pub talk as he was staying on for another year. The last two Roscommon managers (both non rossies) was given 3 years each in the job.

Corofin seem to get stronger when they come out of Galway . Get Ian Burke back and they are well on course for another all Ireland . Corofin have a decent bench too and Have two very good new youngsters coming next year in Tony Gill and Matthew Cooley . Maybe 3 all Ireland's in a row ?

Do I detect a little dislike for tubber from people outside of Mayo , cause of the o Connors perhaps ? Maybe I'm imagining it but they really are disliked outside of Mayo for some reason.

Is it yourself that's a bit defensive about Ballintubber? Id imagine most here dont know enough about them to care much either way. You keep acting indignant when someone expects Corofin to win Connacht easily. They're a small club who've never won Connacht and scraped through their last game, up against one of the best teams in modern times. Even against CNG they'd likely be slight outsiders. Here's hoping they can do it but it'll come as a shock to the vast majority

Corofin limped through two extra-times in Connacht last year. If anything they were their weakest.

Club football in Connacht is quite a high standard. Clearly the strike rate for All-Ireland wins for the provincial winner is vastly superior to county.

Ballintubber in a bit of bother here , although as I type tourlestrane have a man sent off . Very low scoring game 0-5 to 0-4 in favour of tubber.
And what a disgraceful decision it was too. Turned the game back in Ballintubber favour.
How? Ballintubber were winning by a point when he was sent off and won by a point in the end
They basically kept possesion for the majoriry of the remaining 15 minutes rather than try and kick on and try and play a bit.
They won the game.job done.If the tanned one insisted on everyone behind the ball why would Tubber need to do anything other than retain possession. The onus was on Tourlstrane to "play a bit".
Play a bit with being a man down? Clueless, would of just opened them up to be picked off. Another refereeing performance in Connacht to savour. Ballintubber couldnt have had much more luck with all the injuries for Tourlestrane.
The question posed by Mano was why Tubber didn't "play a bit".I merely suggested that all they needed to do was hold possession, and that if Tourlstrane were to win,it was they that needed to "play.a bit"(quoting Mano).Tubber  only needed to hold onto the ball-they were ahead.

Connacht is wide open but only Corofin have a chance of going any further.

Nope. The opposite is far more true.

If another team is somehow good enough to win Connacht they have a great chance because there's few if any outstanding teams left in the country. But Connacht is Corofin's to lose. Why people try to play the poor mouth online I'll never know.

Connacht winner Corofin or whoever beats them will play the Ulster winner in the All Ireland semi final and the current favourties there is Scotstown who haven't won Ulster since 1989. My money would be on the former to reach the AI final.

Yeah for sure. Would have Dr Crokes as favourite for all-Ireland though. Mainly as they are highly unlikely to get caught within their province.

Roscommon to spend the summer practicing hooking and pulling on the ground? This car crash should be entertaining at least. Absolutely bizarre stuff
