anyone brave enough to call the intermediate championship? 7 teams in with a big shout in my opinion, Loughmacrory, Galbally, Pomeroy, Gortin, Augher, Aghyaran and Owen Roes?

It will take a serious side to beat galbally in any game this year, be it league or champo
Aghyaran are well enough set up to nip them in a stand alone game. Pomeroy with few men missing through injury but they also have the potential to nip Galbally.
No else could probably do it in against Galbally but would have no fear playing either of Aghyaran or Pomeroy.

Cant see Aghyarn coming close to them in championship without McHugh. I would agree that Pomeroy would be the most likely team to stop them, but not just because of their county men, they have great experience from some of their recent championship runs over the years, prior to last years first round exit ofc.

Whoever wins the IFC in Tyrone this year will walk Ulster and after that, an All-Ireland title will be very much a probability as opposed to a possibility (provided there are no major injuries along the way).

They maybe should, no certainty they will.

Only Pomeroy in 2 have won anything before / recently....the rest will go on serious bender. Between that and the late end to Tyrone v Ulster Championship start means Tyrone clubs have the deck stacked against them.

Us Derry folk play the 'AFL' card too much.

Conor Glass was a complete standout player, guaranteed to have a long inter county career.
Callum Brown didn't start for his own age group at u20's. However I think he had the potential to become a good inter county footballer.
Anton Tohill didn't start for his club senior team, St Pats MacRory team or his county minor team.

Glass for me is the only guaranteed massive loss out of the 3. Callum Brown definitely had big potential, but loads of 18-20 year olds have had the same potential in the past 10 years and never ended up being county footballers.

Is that true?

Seems really odd.

Rory making the trip to Derry according to today's Irishnews

Have Derry not suffered enough?

If it happens, Brolly will go mental.

He's meant to be on the appointment panel

Joe Brolly on the Derry senior county appointment panel? if so i think that just highlights everything wrong with Derry at the moment.

Absolutely no evidence for it, just was told by someone who wouldn't be far away from that set up.

I'm dubious about it myself.

Yet if it hadn't been for Mourinho, there would have been no trophies (despite dismissing them, they are still trophies) and highest league position since Ferguson left.

United would have been out of the UCL for 3 straight years (unthinkable and financially untenable).

I wouldn't say Mourinho wrecked the club. He bought players that maybe had short term use (Matic etc) and had others thrust upon him such as Pogba which manifested itself in the most embarrassing moment in recent United history (the tweet the day he was sacked).

Solskjear will be sacked this season and it will further improve Mourinho work at United. Whilst he didn't bring home the big one, he brought home something. LVG of course won the FA Cup too. I think United will continue this malaise for another period.

Time will judge Mourinho as a success at United.

He'll be the best manager they could have had.

He just comes with tremendous baggage (when he doesn't get his way).

Not when youre Poacher.
Latches himself to anything thats going.
All part of the PR propaganda machine he drives.

What is the core issue with Poacher here? I don't know anything about the man but plenty seem to be quick to stick the boot in.
From what I've seen of him at U21 level a few years ago,  he's a very unlikeable person and I wouldn't like him near any team I supported

I always got the exact opposite impression from ones I know that know him, he's meant to be a great fella altogether.

Strange, watched one of his coaching sessions on youtube once - he seemed a decent fella going on that but sure when the cameras are on you....

Schmidt is the best coach we ever had . They will be ready for Scotland

All true, but there can be no dressing up yesturday. That is the World Cup...if Sexton doesn't make it.

His remit with Tyrone was as a full time employee with all underage squads right up until senior level. I'd imagine Tyrone will be looking for someone to fill that role he has vacated now.

With Monaghan, he will be going in as a member of the backroom team for the senior setup, one would imagine that he is quoting a pretty substantial fee for that as his reputation in GAA circles for what he does is as high as you can get.

He was a fairly vocal member of the Tyrone senior management set up....you could hear him before you seen him on sideline.

Hi could have stayed but chose not to. Money talks

Would you turn down a job that moves you further on in your career and pays you more money?

This news kinda stinks....now just what the full story is right now we can only guess but Donnelly leaving Tyrone to take up a role with Ulster Rugby...fair enough, I don't think anyone would really argue that wasn't a career step up....but to then, about a week later news break you are signing up to do some kind of part time work with a rival county does not sit well.

Something has happened in the background and he's obviously been in discussion with Banty for some weeks.

Like I say, something stinks.

Who won the ACL game tonight between Edendork and Donaghmore?
Grinds my gears when neither club have anything on their Twitter or Facebook pages, is it that hard to post a score.  Nothing on Teamtalk, County Board or Docsport Social Media platforms

In my experience the actual county board website is pretty good at giving the scores to games within an hour of finishing.

That said, if you are stuck a search of tyrone acl or club names on twitter and you'll get it by hook or crook.

Ardboe would need a win.....they'll be in an uncomfortable spot should Derrylaughan rise from the dead this weekend.
