I would have used my own message allowance before and it never usualy cost me.

Started to use that Teamer yoke and it seems to be fine so far. They also give you your own website address to access notices and updates for the team. Going to use it more often I think.

I'll have a stab. Is it just the 15 best footballers or do we need to do positions? 15 best footballers from what I've heard and seen...

Jim McKeever
Sean O'Connell
Paddy Bradley
Anthony Tohill
Tony Scullion
Dermot McNicholl
Kieran McKeever
Gerry McElhinney
Fergal Doherty
Sean Marty Lockhart
Joe Brolly
Henry Downey
Brian McGilligan
Joe Irwin
Frank Niblock

For a poll like this I am still fairly young to be judging our greatest ever but I have been reliably informed about O'Connell, Irwin, Niblock, McElhinney and McKeever that they deserve inclusion. Maybe younger players like Doherty/Lockhart could be swapped for some of the Gribbin's or maybe someone else I've missed out on but in my mind Doherty is the best Midfielder around at the minute (Bar none!) and Lockhart has been outstanding for well over 10 years at this stage.

Maybe some of the elder statesmen of Derry could put up a better list as I'm sure I haven't enough Ballinderry/Bellaghy/Lavey men on the team.

Good job you pit a smilie in there because there is little chance of that happening. Dunno if I'll be able to or not as I'll be stewarding the game and God knows where I could be put! I'll give it a go for you anyway.

I don't suppose there's floodlights in Baile na Scríne and that the game's moved to the Saturday night??? Otherwise may have to miss this as there's a day out in Croker on the cards for Sun.

Westmeath will probably be missing a few players alright, hopefully Duffy is fit to start and the rest of the lads have kicked the last of the flu. See John Connellan scored 8 points against the Biffos on Sat in the U21 so would hope to see him added to the panel for the weekend...

We do but they're on our practice pitch which could only accomodate a few supporters so no chance of the game being moved at all I imagine.

Another big game for us on our hoe patch and a win here could mean we ensure our safety fairly quickly. Qill more than likely be a tough game though and Screen's pitch isn't in the best condition although Westmeath are coming off the back of a home defeat to Galway so we should be looking to rub salt in the wounds.

Are Westmeath missing many players? We're still a few down but the lads that have come in can do a job and I believe Paddy Bradley is starting to get his fitness back so things are on the way up. Should hopefully be a decent match.
think the ladies team will have a few quiet words and a couple of loud thumps come next training session SE !
:D

MOUTHS!

what shape is your patch in?mucky by any chance?

Not really sure but it hasn't had a match or anything on it since Derry v Jtown in the McKenna Cup so it can't be too bad but there has been a lot of rain/snow since so you never know what way it'll be. I'll be up this evening and I'll check it out to give a better idea of it. Getting a decent pitch surface is the next thing on the agenda for the club as far as I am aware. Bit overdue really as we haven't had it resurfaced in about 10 years now.

Watched the game on Saturday and I was impressed. Still a lot of work to do if we are to target a Championship or the GS. Wales look like they can turn on the style whenever they feel like it now and they are a year further in their development than us with massive competition for all positions which is something we don't quite have yet.

Hooke was lauding the choice of Wallace at 12 but I just don't think he's the man for the job. Too weak and small and given that he's beside O'Gara that is a massive target to hit and had France concentrated more on that channel they may well have won. Although D'Arcy is not long back I think his strength is something we need in there and he will allow O'Driscoll more time to concentrate on attacking which he can do to great effect if he's in the mood.

I thought the game had the mark of Kidney all over it. The French were flamboyant and threw the ball around a lot but our defence for the most part was solid and we were very efficient with the chances we had which is what you are looking for in a team at this stage in its development. I was very sceptical of our squad to start but I'm starting to feel a lot better about it now although I still think it is a bit old to be aiming for a WC in 3 years time.

Looking at the overall championship it would seem a toss up between Wales and Ireland at this stage although the French have the capability to cause an upset against the Welsh. The Championship should hopefully be tight and we have more than a fair shout of winning it so hopefully things go to plan over the next few weeks!

I would say The West Wing series 1-4. A bit gay but I absolutely love that show and I reckon if I watched those series a couple more times and read up a bit there would be very little I don't know.

Can't see our match being played in this weather especially up in Ballyshannon!

"NHS is exploiting my life" - claims transsexual

By Joanna Lean »

A TRANSSEXUAL, angry at an NHS advertising campaign that depicts a man wearing makeup, says her lifestyle has been exploited for the sake of a poster.

Lucy Smith thinks the NHS should have been more sensitive to the transsexual community in Warrington when it developed a poster warning women drinkers they could end up looking like men.

"It's hard enough living in Warrington without this," said Lucy, a pre-op male to female transsexual.

"People see the posters on the bus and it draws attention to me sat there. I walk down the street and everyone's looking or shouting," she said.

Transsexuality is recognised as a medical condition, and the NHS pays for transgender operations.

That NHS Warrington would put up the posters while knowing about the problems transsexuals face has upset Lucy and her friends in the transsexual community.

Not a day goes by without a violent incident or abusive comments towards Lucy, aged 23, and the posters have only brought transsexuality to the forefront of people's minds, she said.

"They have these pictures that stand out a mile and people will see it and start pointing and making comments and laughing," she said.

The posters were brought in as part of a hard-hitting campaign to lower excessive drinking levels in women.

Warrington is one of the worst towns in the country for the high level of women who drink too much, and research has shown that excessive drinking can introduce male characteristics to women.

The person on the poster is fictional, made up of different images that were merged together by an artist, a spokesman for NHS Warrington said.

NHS Warrington sent the poster to national equality and diversity groups and consulted with the national lead for the transgender community, the spokesman said.

The groups did not find any reason for NHS Warrington not to use the posters.

Similar campaigns used elsewhere in the country have been successful in reducing harmful drinking levels in women, the spokesman added.

Lucy has asked both NHS Warrington and Warrington Borough Transport to remove the posters, but was told the campaign had been effective and would not be removed.

Transsexual men and women want to establish a permanent role as a member of the opposite sex, and many have gender reassignment surgery to complete this. This transition can take years.
