Quote5.16 To threaten/use abusive or provocative language/gestures to an opponent

It is currently a 'black card' offence!
That'd be hard to police.

We could get in this crew... probably better than any team of referees we could assemble!

There was one about Miriam O'Callaghan at a stage:

"How many kids has she had now? The bacon's bound to be hangin out of her at this stage!"

QuoteDisgusting act by McMenamin. 1 month ban would not be out of order.

Catch a grip ffs.  Out of order but not a ban abd iut happens in all contact sports at some point or another.  What's worse, a wee squeeze like that or a full force punch in the nuts while pretending to go for the ball?

Both are as bad as eachother and any deliberate attempt to touch somebody/ANYBODY between their legs is Sexual assault... a minumum 3 months!

I did the same Hardy. Some quality stuff there too and I can still hear the cries from the Tyrone faithful now about lads being taken out and such. That was a great Meath team and there was no way Tyrone had the footballers to beat them that Day or any other day even if Canavan hadn't have been injured.

Reddan would be my dark horse, worth a couple of yoyos anyway. Played really well again for Ireland A on Saturday, and with O'Leary being slightly disappointing again, there's a chance he could get a starting role before the campaign is over. And if he does his 50/1 price will get slashed

Also he was brought in by McGeechan and Edwards to Wasps so he is most definitely in with a shout for a spot on the tour at least although Scrum Half is seriously competitive with Peel, Blair, Phillips and Ellis all in with a shout of a Test Spot. Looking forward to the Lions this year after that farce Woodward made us sit through last time. McGeechan has proven he knows how to win with the Lions and I expect the Series to be very competitive next time around.

From Ireland yeah Wallace, Heaslip, BOD, POC all worth a shout. Is there also not some tradition that they take in a sort of 'up and coming' club player who maybe hasn't made their mark on the International stage yet? If Earls has a good finish to the Heineken Cup he could be in with a shout for that spot!

Well I'm hoping to get the all clear to play this time next week. McConnell knows the craic anyway and he has my number if he needs me ;)

3 Weeks is a long time to wait for this one I am massively looking forward to it at this stage. As I mentioned in the other thread it's a good top of the table clash between two teams hitting a bit of form. I suspect Kerry are futher along in their development than we are as we have a new manager in place but I would still expect us to put up a good performance against them on our home patch regardless.

Anyone have an idea who we will get to mark Walsh?!

I didn't have a programme so I don't know who McDaniel is Croi sorry. None of the subs had an impact on the game really though.

Yes Kerry up in the 'Screen in 3 weeks time. I would expect a much bigger crowd next time round and a good battle for the top of the league!

Hard to pinpoint really Croi. The first half was fairly competitive with Westmeath getting a few good scores but Derry pulled ahead by 5 just before half time. 2nd half was over as Derry completely over ran you for about 10 minutes and got a lot of scores in that time and then the goal totally killed the game with about 10 left or so.

It was hard to work out what kind of system you were playing. A bit like Derry last year you seem to funnel men behind the ball to win it back but then have no real attacking game plan other than try and get it to Dessie and Dennis. Our defence had them well sewn up so it just didn't work. Our gameplan involved breaking in 3's and 4's with speed from defence always creating an overlap and then we had 4 options up front to hit as well as men coming through which created too many options for Westmeath to deal with and meant we had 8 men on the scoresheet yesterday. I think O'Flatharta will have to look at how things went and change it up a bit for the next match.

Big top of the table clash for us now against Kerry in 3 weeks time wil be very interesting and I'm looking forward to it. We don't have to win the game but we do have to perform well for us to keep progressing. I'm at a loss to see how we will deal with Walsh though. Any chance Big Niall will be back?!

He put his hand over his balls and gave them a squeeze...

What should Galvi's reaction have been? A cheeky Wink?

He did't feign injury!

What he did today was sexual assault and Galvin would be well within his rights to go to the police about it with the video evidence there for all to see. Disgusting!

and I thought valentines day was for women.

thats one of the most embarrassing things Ive ver read on this forum, the Irish Star would be emabarrassed to print it, and an insult to anyone who has ever had to misfortune to be assaulted in that way.

catch a grip.

There are many different forms of sexual assault and groping someone in the balls would most definitely be a form of it.

I can tell you I am in no way embarrassed but McMenamin should be. He should also thank his lucky stars if he hasn't been charged and if he does escape suspension it will be a complete travesty and mke a mockery of our new disciplinary rules. The worst possible thing you can do on a football field!!!
