You are talking about radio stations

at http://www.lyngsat.com

You will find the frequencies you need.

for RTE radio
http://www.lyngsat.com/astra2d.html

Also there is a Talk Radio one from Ireland somewhere

Then just follow the instruction for adding channels to the Other Channel menu.
It's tedius though to select a channel from there

I haven't checked if the freq given are up to date, I think they should be.
For RTE tv you need an Irish subscription

i have just checked on an original (old) UK digibox that I have and the radio stations can be added on.
AFAIA they are "open source" and can be added to any satellite reciever.

But it could be that you can't add them to a UK sky box with a uk subs card.

An Gaeilgoir

you need an irish sky card to get them free.

You do in your bollox.
I have just said that I have an old digibox, no Irish sky card and I can get the Iirsh radio stations.
I have also tuned in the Irish radio stations on a digital receiver for a friend using the freq. from Lyngsat.

QuoteRTÉ Television can only be got with either a southern or northern Irish Sky subscription.

Well is that not what I wrote in my first post?

"For RTE tv you need an Irish subscription"

Is there a such a great difficulty in distinguishing between my references to  Radio and  TV.?

That when I specify Radio I mean Radio  not television.
