Tyrone / Re: Tyrone County Football and Hurling

Good win, always tough going to tight grounds and an ambush is on the cards. We done what we had to do.
Thought the lads looked in control throughout. Good to see McShane getting a few, if a bit lucky goals and I thought McClure slotted in well at late notice. Always liked him as a player would like to see him get more game time. Same for Kyle Coney.
No Hampsey so must be something to the injury rumours.

Not much chat about last weekends ACL. I see Sean O'Neill kicked 6 points for Dromore.

As in Sean Red the half back?

That's the way I read it in the paper anyway, said Veteran Sean O'Neill, three from play three frees.

Unless its Sean Snowy O'Neill returned from years in exile.

That's who came to my mind - he had quite the reputation years ago but never was sure where he went.

Great player, was on the Tyrone panel to win an All Ireland in 2008,
think he resides in San Fran now and still tormenting defenders over there!

Correct, I believe he plays for the Young Irelanders in SF and is very much the stand out player over there.

This sums up the mentality under McGeeney, he has the Armagh team running about with the chest out, constantly delivering late hits and up to aul dirt non stop and then when they're caught it's a crying match trying to get off with it.
McGeeney himself should have been banned for his blatant shoulder on McKernan the last day out. Embarrassing stuff appealing this.

Neutral observer here.
Thought it was a good game but Cavan can certainly feel hard done by officiate.
Armagh seemed to get easier frees and the majority if not most of the 50/50 calls. The black cards were very harsh especially when Armagh players were let off for the same thing and I don't think Cavan red was warranted. Shields play acting got the man sent off.
Jamie Clarke had a poor game and didn't seem himself but J Og Burns is a tremendous player.

Tyrone have been playing well of late. Richie Donnelly seems to have made a good improvement to the team, his kick passing into the forwards is a great asset. McShane was good against Cavan as well just running outta steam, he was showing out in front well. Once the sod dries up Tyrone will move up another gear.

Some dogfight for Div 1 survival.

Bookies would have closed up shop and with all the fixing this weekend. Aghyaran picked up the predicted points off Carmen this evening. Pomeroy v Edendork is a championship match this weekend a proper battle. Galbally will win as well.

They're going to need a few neutral officials at this one! Both teams enjoy a feisty encounter

If you think his criticism was bad have a look at mulligans views on the match in the irish star. He says starting 3 injured players was criminal. Also critical of tyrone during the league.

Are these former players all just trying to make a name as being a controversial pundit and further their own brand?

GAA Discussion / Re: Derry are now in Division 4

Lets be brutally honest, the League tables don't lie. Derry are a division 4 county and will find their level there. I'm sure a lot of the players are relieved they will no longer be going out to play games knowing they can't win.

Ah don't play the aul soft touch TyroneGaa. Sean Cav back for a full season with them, won an u21 title last year and many men found their love for the game again with the All Ireland run. They'll be a force this season for sure.

Think too many people are writing Moy off. A team that won an intermediate title just a few weeks ago so will be flying fit and lots of confidence. Will definitely be in the mix for playoffs.

Playoffs??? Are you on the wind up like STG? Have you not seen the news, Colm Cavanagh is injured (TeamTalk tweeted for a minimum of 6 weeks) that's 6 club games along with the 5 starred.  Harry Loughran also not played for Tyrone due to injury although he was on the bench last week so maybe will feature.  When Moy lose key players they lose games.  I would say with that news, if they cant get their players on the pitch a quick return to intermediate beckons.  Audi Kelly didn't jump ship for nothing.

Still a head scratcher the Eglish situation, disposing of Collie Holmes so close to pre season. Collie obviously established himself with the County youth set up showing himself to be useful enough. Was there a fall out with the players? Or is he just not rated in Eglish?

Collie has had a few issues, obviously left Moy for Armagh Harps. Is Eglish his club these days?

Don't the Moy have a game coming up for you to concentrate on? This is the 3rd time you've brought this up.
