Any posters here regulars of Vilamoura (Algarve) ?  :D

Getting close to flight booking time again, I never get sick of that marina area. It is just something else.

I thought Avengers : Age of Ultron was great. A solid 7.5/8 out of 10. Plenty of big names in it, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, RDJ to name a few.

There's a movie I've wanted to rent out for some time - Interstellar, Matthew McConaughey. Is it a must-watch?

Has anyone read AP McCoy's book? I recently read Tim S. Grover's "Relentless", he was the famous coach of Dwayne Wade among other high profile basketball stars. Brilliant insight into the dedication and determination of those guys.

I thought in the McKenna cup final v Cavan he was very sharp and direct with a great turn of pace, any time he turned his man and headed straight for goal he looked dangerous, am I thinking of a different McKenna cup game or is this the same night he scored the goal?

Has our debate here yesterday been made "eat its own words" yesterday? Praising the cream of the Spanish League and branding the italians a shambles altogether...

Or was it just an off night for Madrid? Madrid's back 4 didn't have their best performances, notably Sergio Ramos. You would just feel that with the away goal Madrid won't be too downbeat heading back to the Bernabeu.

Looking forward to Barca v Munich tonight

Messi needs to go to another league in order to prove himself IMO.

Ronaldo has proved himself in the premier league, in my eyes he is better.

Another point I would argue is that, these 2 men are getting roughly 50 goals in the La Liga per season, the quality of opposition and intensity in La Liga matches must be brought to attention. Sure, it's better football, but to score that many in the premier league would be unheard of. The Stoke's, West Ham's etc rarely bow down to anyone, could Messi do it against them with the physicality of these defences?

Enjoying this thread!

For us at home here, does anyone know is it only ESPN & Eurosport that show the AFL games at weekends?

Hope Wenger doesn't sit back this summer and think "Ah we've enough to challenge for title next season" in his usual stubborn mode.

I'd like to see a real top class holding midfielder to go alongside Coquelin, and another 2 defenders, definitely missing a world class centre back, a commander, who organises the back line and has a bit of a "hard man" approach. Mertesacker not good enough IMHO, as slow as a funeral and not physically strong enough.

Also, I don't like being too harsh on him but Giroud will not win us a league or get us any further in the Champions league, he's very limited, can't run in behind defence, finishing abysmal at times unless he's in the air. Welbeck not up to it either,. So there's 3 areas that if we strengthened would turn us into chelsea-beaters.

Does anyone know what the story is for the May Bank Holiday weekend? Was this meant to be the weekend where there would be 2 league games, Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd? What's the likelihood of this..

I realise also that if u21s win Saturday their final will fall on that Saturday 2nd May.

Reason for asking is few of us lads have a stag from the Friday-Sunday evening and definitely wouldn't go if it meant missing 2 league games!!

Cheers

I will definitely see it as progress from last season's campaign if we beat Chelsea this weekend.

We got thrashed last year by City, Liverpool & Chelsea and also lost out to a poor United team.

Beating Liverpool, City & finishing second would be an improvement yes, but I really do believe the standard of the English Premier League is shocking at the moment. City in Europe are as bad as ourselves, Liverpool are nothing without Suarez, United are by no means a good team, Chelsea are a tricky one for me, very tough to break down, but I still wouldn't have them in the same league as Bayern, Madrid or Barca.

For once the premiership lineup isn't too bad this weekend in terms of picking an accumulator!

Definitely fancy Arsenal to beat Liverpool at the Emirates.

GAA-wise - Tyrone to stay up would fairly bring an accumulator price up. They have a knack of bouncing back after games so far in this NFL campaign!

Where do ye all get the time to watch these endless number of TV series on Netflix and various websites?
I'm not slating, I'm envious!! One episode leads to another as I learned with Breaking Bad, have watched nothing since it for the amount of time it ate up!
