I only live in Belfast but it's great to get home for a week.  I love it and I hope the tradition carries on.

anyone getting bored? Its been the debated to the death, let cork stew in their own shite at this stage. there will be a Tv Drama series soon. Its beyond pathetic at this stage, from all parties involved.

I agree 100% with that Indiana. I'm bored to death with the lot of them and I don't give a flying feck who is to blame!

I'm more interested in this woman from Mayo who wants into the county teams changing rooms.

How is asking for a photograph of one of the Mayo County Boards senior officers Personal abuse, a Libellous/insulting post about a real person or Revealing a posters personal identity?

Catch yourself on FFS!

I'm not from Mayo and I would like to see a photograph of the Mayo Pro who is all over the newspapers. I'd like to see what see looks like because it helps me identify people. I may bump into her at annual Congress for example. Or come across her somewhere else.  A head and shoulders shoot will do.

Can anyone post a photograph of Noelle Horan? What age of a woman is she?

General discussion / Re: 11-Plus Proposal

Has this actually been agreed or is it one of a number of proposals? I think that's were the confusion arises.

If it's all agreed, fair enough, let's get on with implementing it and telling parents. If it's not, when will things be agreed?

GAA Discussion / Re: Who are the team of the decade?

Look lets just call Tyrone the "Team of the Millennium" and be done with it. Are you happy now? You could get TOTM tadtoo-ed on the players arms to remind them how great they are.

Armagh SFC Semi Finals (click here to open|close this coupon)
  Match     Home Draw Away
05 Oct 14:00 Pearse Ogs vs Killeavy     8/11   7/1   11/8
05 Oct 15:45 Crossmaglen Rangers vs Armagh Harps     1/12   14/1   6/1

Which bookie is offering those prices I'll decide? I would seriously consider a few quid on Killeavy. Always go with form and they are the form team.

Does anyone understand what is going to happen to kids in P6 now? CaĆtriona Ruane says that no one is confused. Well I am.

This is a really serious issue for parents of children around that age and I really would like to know what the plan is.

Armagh / Re: Armagh Club football & hurling

Looking forward to the SFC semis. I don't often get to club games any more but a trip to the new Athelic Grounds for the double header will tempt me down.

Could well be a Killeavy v Crossmaglen final, couldn't it?

Has to be Kerry. Sometimes people underestimate their achievements just because they have won so many All Irelands.

Quote from: Ball Hopper on September 23, 2008, 03:09:34 AM
Kerry have 4, Tyrone have 3.

If Tyrone win in 2009, the take the tiebreaker on head-to-head comparison.

Who was the team of the 60's....Down (3), or Galway (3).  That's a much more difficult question.

This quote for example overlooks the fact that Kerry won 3 All Irelands during that decade and also appeared in 4 other finals. Galway are remembered for winning 3 in a row. Down are remembered for being the first 6 counties winner.

The Tyrone team of the 2000s will be remembered for winning their 1st All Ireland (after Armagh showed them how to do it) but Kerry will be remembered as the team of the decade. The retained the cup, something that is very hard to do.

The details of this case are very disturbing. It must be heart breaking for young McIlveen's parents to hear such evidence.

Despite the attempts by NATO countries to put a spin on this, it is becoming abundantly clear that Russia had no choice other than to take the action they did. Failure to do so would have resulted in Genocide. This was a naked land grab and ethnic cleansing operation, pre-planned and launched by Georgia, with the connivance of the Americans. In an all out war there can be only one victor, Russia has to date shown remarkable restraint in not pressing their advantage
I think that's spot on.

He's entitled to his opinion. If fact I agree with him.  If he had said anything before the game that would be a different matter.

Personally I'm gutted. I was supremely confident going into this and maybe we all under estimated Wexford.
