Betfair decimal odds dont include your own stake. There 8.66 would be 7.66-1.

By my working out     7.66/4  =3.83 + your £2 stake =5.83

5.83 going onto 20.65/4 *5.83  =30.08

Is it possible to get Donnelly's Hollow the freedom of the board or something.

So far I've had 3 winners, a 2nd, a third and a faller. Doing each way doubles and trebles, I trebled my modest bet yesterday, and quadrupled today.

Thanks DH.

Actually. Just checking Betfair.

I had First Liutenant, which came in at 8.66 (First) and Captain CeeBee at 20.75 (Third). So if I had £2 E/W double, would it be 1.25 x 8.66 which is with £2 going to be 21.65 roughly going onto CeeBee which at third is 1/4 of 20.75 which is roughly 10.4. Should give returns of circa 112/113. Or am I reading that correct?

It only seems to have payed 30.1!!

You lose your win and both are just placed!!!

So first or third is technically the same thing. Balls to that.  :'(

Ah well. Profit's profit.  :)

i never knew that! I had the first 2 winners today and CBB ( placed ) in a 5 horse ew accumulater, are all the winners just classed as placed even if you go EW?? What is the point in going EW on a accumulator?

Brick Tamlin

could someone post up the results as they come in please

Hardy

If any of your horses loses in an e.w. accum you lose the whole win half of the bet. You could have 4 winners and one second in a 5-horse accum and you collect only on the 5 places. (1st = a place in the place half of the bet).

Hardy

Not to be greedy, but you'd have to fancy 7 out of 7 now, given our record in the bumper.

Excuse my ignorance but what's the difference between hurdles and fences? if Big Bucks is such a good horse why isn't it in the Gold Cup?
Plenty of people on here seem to be making money anyway. hoors

Fences much bigger and tougher - hurdles really just a step. Big Bucks didn't take to fencing.

Are the fence jumpers better horses then? Or is it just different skills? Would there be many horses compete regularly at both fences and hurdles?

Just different types, when mature. Young horses typically start out as hurdlers. Most would progress to chasing (fence jumping) as they mature, grow and get stronger. Some, though, stay on as hurdlers, either because they're reckoned not to be the type that would prosper as chasers (generally slighter types) or because they're such good hurdlers (e.g. Istabraq, Hardy Eustace, etc.) that they specialise in hurdling.

No such thing as each way betting on Betfair or am I missing something is this post?

Had a very good day....4 winners and shortest price 5/1 ;D ;D 8)

Hope all clean the bookies the rest of the meeting.
I like to see the fairways more narrow, then everyone would have to play from the rough, not just me

You can beat E/W but it looks like you don't get the credit for winning the race. I am ignorant to all this but that makes it look like the high street bookie is better value in this instance.

There are two distinct markets on betfair - to win and to place.

Putting £5 on each market would be the equivalent of a £5 e/w bet
