No such thing as a cert, the ground i'd say will be soft or heavy despite the good to soft i think they're reporting at the minute.I'll have a very small e/w bet on kalahari king at 20/1 for interest couldn't be having Masterminded at them odds at all!

sammymaguire

Devon Native looks a good each way bet in the 2.50
DRIVE THAT BALL ON!!

Donnellys Hollow

Notus De La Tour e/w in the 2:55. Can't see him being out of the three off a very lenient mark.
There's Seán Brady going in, what dya think Seán?

Met Éireann have issued a warning to those heading to Leopardstown tomorrow. Although confident of beating the frost, theyre predicting a Hurricane followed by a Cyclone. Whooooshh!!
;D ;D

Donnellys Hollow

Have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed by Hurricane Fly today. I thought he might have lengthened a bit more when Townend gave him a few reminders but he didn't really pull away from Solwhit. Maybe he was feeling the cut on his heel?

I still reckon he's the one they'll all have to beat in 51 days time but I would have liked to see him really stretch away once the stick came out because no horse will win the Champion Hurdle on the bridle - Carberry and Harchibald proved that in '05.

There goes any remote Irish chance of landing the Gold Cup. Real shame as he was shaping up to be the strongest challenger since War Of Attrition. When you look at the Irish runners since 2006 they really are a mediocre bunch:

2007
Cane Brake - decent handicapper
Forget The Past - not without talent at his best but very fragile horse
Beef Or Salmon - high class in his prime but gone by '07 and never acted at Cheltenham anyway

2008
Afistfullofdollars - running down the field in p2ps these days for John Halley!

2009
No Irish runner

2010
Cooldine - good winner of the RSA chase but clearly not the same horse since

That's a very poor reflection on Irish racing. Surely with all the class chasers we breed and run in points over here, we should be doing better than that. With the arse falling out of the economy the small man can't compete so we'll have to rely on O'Leary to keep top class staying chasers in Ireland. JP is more interested in buying off the flat and from bumpers. The 2015, 2016, 2017 etc. Gold Cup winners are probably stood in a field somewhere in this country at the moment waiting to run in a maiden point. Very likely that they'll be running for English yards and owners in the years to come though.
