That's a big win for Mayo and one I didn't expect. Should give them a smoother passage to a semi final and if they weren't contenders before now then they definitely are now as it's not easy to go to killarney and beat Kerry in championship.

The odds will be interesting after today, taken out the All Ireland favourites by a bit to spare in their back yard. Mayo as strong as any contender left and strength in depth seen today with the bench impact compared to Kerry today.

It's very open this year

This is still tippy-tappy stuff. It's a great result for Mayo in regards going straight to the QF's. Kerry will be a lot more dangerous as the weeks progress. Nothing was won or lost today.

QuoteI think Kerry only began training seriously after the Portugese training camp and they will be keen to win this in order to avoid Dublin and Galway in a quarter final. Kerry to win by 6-7 points

.

Why would you wait until after your training camp to start training??

Wouldn't underestimate significance of that result for both teams today.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Mayo's All Ireland title to lose now!

Based on beating the AI Favourites (who are still in the Championship) in a League game?

How is it a league game though ? Not saying we are now favs for Sam but to downplay that win against the X factor county in their home ground where they haven't lost a championship game in 28 yrs is potty . They are sick and mayo proved to me and everyone else today they are right in the mix .
Walk-in down mchale rd , sun out, summers day , game day . That's all .

Was todays game knock-out? How many of Kerry's previous Championship games in the last 28 years were not Knockout?  Don't get me wrong it's great to beat Kerry and it sets us up nicely. Lets not loose the run of ourselves.

That's a hard place to win a game of football, Mayo should top the group now. Kerry otherwise been off the pace all year.

Mayo superb and should have won by a lot more.
Can't understand anyone talking down that result, went into Killarney and were better in every line of the pitch, only fault you could give them is that Mayo should have won that by 12 or 13 points, they were that superior and missed some really good goal chances.

If they play that way every other day left in the championship they will be hard stopped, a statement win.

Good display by Mayo & McStay on the line. Kerry have no midfield and have a vastly overrated player in Sean o Shea, good free taker but is a passenger mostly in games. No intensity or momentum in that Kerry side, take out D Clifford and you have a poor side.
