strong team.
No sign of Duffy. He must be cat altogether

Unavailable due to work commitments. He was with Newstalk yesterday for the Munster match, and Connacht are playing Exeter today in Galway.
Probably not a big deal for FBD, but I'm sure he won't be able to miss any league or championship matches if there's a clash. No other player would get that leeway.

The 28year hoodoo is over but thats all you can take from it.
Ross at almost full strength V a very unstrength Mayo

Was a good performance, a little edge was something we needed and showed, the Mayo supporters weren't too happy, though. Maybe they expected us to do what we used to and roll over and have our bellies tickled. Ref not great at controlling the game.

We controlled the game from start to finish, full value for the five points and probably should have been much more. The young lads again at the forefront.

The only game that matters right now is Cavan in Kiltoom, though.

Like most Mayo supporters said Ross would win this and unlike last year will progress to winning the provincial championship in 15.

This present Mayo set up are up against it , i hope everyone realises they will need time to build a team of their own.
Walk-in down mchale rd , sun out, summers day , game day . That's all .

Did Mayo play as selected?

Keegan & Vaughan in the FB line is peculiar to put it mildly. Good to see Varley get a chance though.

That s the bit that bothers me.

Two points from play and 2-12 conceded. It's safe to say that not too many put their hands up today.

Cold winter day brighten/warmed up by a superb Roscommon team performance in MacHale park against a Mayo side with around 10 lads that have All Ireland final experience. In truth if we had taken the numerous goal chances created we would have won by double the margin than what we did.

Only the FBD we also bet Mayo last January and should have beaten them 2013,12 as well. The main plus point is bouncing back from last weekends very disappointing display, onwards and upwards we go & are due a home FBD final against Galway as last one was played in Tuam.
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

sans pessimism

At least 7 All-stars from that performance
