"If there was a Division 8 Roscommon would be in it."

Larryin, stop texting Shannonside.
Athlone left bank, Tulsk mart, Knockcroghery duidini, Boyle farmers market, Brian Carthy, Casey's car showroom,
Ming's pot bogwallahs - your team took one hell of a beating

Well that was Roscommon's All-Ireland and they bottled it.
Time to take a more chill-pill approach to life.

Last week it was;

FBD final set for Carrick this Sunday 2pm, Donie Shine expected to return after his quad strain injury.

Does Donie really need to be risked? Evans did the same v. Mayo last year and look at the chain of reaction he set off. Get the bubble wrap and cotton wool out next week, we can brave the Lovelies without big Donie.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Excellent piece and I never knew Mulligan was born in Donegal. Also his father was a big Liverpool supporter ,hence naming him after the Liverpool great Emlyn Hughes

It appears that Leitrim have an edge on Mayo in terms of mental resilience, in that they don't foal in Finals. This is their 2nd. consecutive Final victory and by all accounts was quarried out in bad conditions.
The quality of the opposition today may have been dubious, but reading threads here one would imagine Leitrim, mired in Division 4, would hardly keep it kicked out to a Division 2 team currently "re-grouping after Minor success" in the lower regions of Division 3.....
Why did you go to the police? Why didn't you come to me first?

Well done Leitrim, a good display of heart and method and a look of a set of lads who knew what they were at.
As for us -that was a fcukin embarrassing day in a could, windy, hailstony, sleety Carrick.
We were absolute crap in the first half( 3 points with the wind all scored by backs) and a bit better in the 2nd. If the Laythrums were any good they'd have set us by 7 or 8 points and only a late 1-1 in injury time flattered us totally.
Our defence scored 1-3 and a young sub who played Hastings Cup on the Saturday got 0-2. Our stsrting 6 "forwards" managed 2 points between them.
We handpassed sideways and backwards for most of the game, we had no positional sense, our defence was in ribbons - great lads running up into the attack but little clue defensively.
Devaney, Kilbride awful, Burns not a County player, Nally failed his first real Inter Co test and needs to be left to the U21s. Cregg was middlin while the 2 Murtaghs were the only players who looked to have a clue what forward play might be all about.
Midfield not there at all, Finneran at least brought some semblence of a presence there. In fairness to Shine when he gets ball he at least looks up and tries to pick out a full forrds with  kick pass.
Hopefully a lot of our poor attitude was down to "only the'oul FBD" syndrome. Next Sunday will tell the tale and hopefully a much changed starting 15 with a good attitude and some direct football, fight and pace.
A repeat of yesterday's sh1te will spell and end to Division 2 and leave us with a struggle to avoid the drop.
And Syfín don't reply I'm not in the mood for your oul crapology.
Davy's given us a dream to cling to
We're going to bring home the SAM

How many pages of scutter have we written about FBD football this year? All to be totally forgotten when a ball is kicked in the real league.

Says it all, really.
