Liverpool expected to get a comfortable win tomorrow which will move them six points ahead of Manchester City and still have to play them in Anfield. Very much Liverpool's league title to lose.

Think they have something like a 31% win percentage for tomorrow.

From the Bunker

Liverpool Ladies just beat Utd 2-1 away this afternoon. Lost 6-0 in the same fixture last year. Word of warning......

Poor game. Man United the happiest I'd say. Definitely a chance for an upset here if Man United want it bad enough.

United looking for 0-0 or smash and grab. Working so far for them, but if Liverpool grab an opener they'll have to come out. Liverpool need to speed things up. Elliott for Szobizlai after another 15? Woeful game so far.

Fair result. Liverpool just a wee bit off it and can't complain.

How many crosses did Varane head away?

Well that weren't great lol. Ah there's been plenty 0 0s where the fear of losing outstrips the joy of winning. Much as it's been fun you're just not gonna win 4s 5s 7s every year

Haven't played great for most of season yet still second and 4 ahead of city. Youdve took that start season...

You play against Arsenal like that next week and there will only be one winner.

Hopefully Klopp rests the frontline players in the league cup against West Ham. Big game against Arsenal next week. We are in contention for the league and that should be our priority.

True, but Arsenal will have a go. They'll obviously carry a far bigger threat, but Liverpool will to in a more open game.

Not surprising given recent performances. The games v SheffU, Palace and mancs were all very similar. When the opposition sets up so defensively, it doesn't matter that they have crap players, we have just been too slow and too sloppy and not creating anywhere near the number of chances we should be. To be honest, lucky to get 7 points from those 3 games. I don't think we're too far away, we've a talented and very hard working team but we're just not clicking and no real sign of us clicking

We'll create more chances against Arsenal, but they'll create more chances too!

Liverpool are pretty awful in the MF area, still a vacancy to fill there

Thiago due back in a few weeks. If he could stay fit he should help. Word seems to be that there won't be any January midfield purchases, so he'll have to.

I thought the problems yesterday were also further up the field. Salah was sloppy as f**k, and also missed a few decent opportunities to play the man on the overlap. They didn't do enough to move United around with quick, one touch passes. Too static and too many crosses from the corner of the box onto Varrane's head.

Paulinha from Fulham has been linked he would be an upgrade on Endo/Macallister in that role.  Would allow Macallister to play in more advanced favoured role.

Awful game yesterday think way it was playing out Liverpool could have played all day and not scored.  Liverpool seemed panic early on which was a surprise given the amount of late goals they have scored.  The game itself to me looked like Liverpool felt they just had to turn up which never the case in these games and United were not going to play an expansive game given current form and last years result.  Crowd was somewhat subdued would expect it to be different on Saturday.  Arsenal not get a better chance win league.
