Does anyone know when the Derry final is to be played?

Saturday in derry city. Lynchs missing herron and mckeever from last years team, and Craig who broke his colarbone after returning from Oz. Lavey have a few lads who haven't lined out this year because of football.

Not sure if this is news to anyone!

Meireles said Liverpool did not fulfill a promise that he would get a 100% pay rise if he impressed in the first year!
"I was aware that Liverpool wanted to sell me in the summer, which was a bit surprising to me."

Any one know what his wage was last season?

Sorry where did he say he was promised a 100% payrise??

Sorry it said that was the rumours! My bad!

Hopefully this is Tiger back to his good old self, three under through 5 and McIlroy said the back nine was the harder of the 9s.

When someone calls a person from the north a Nordie, they are implying the term 'them ones up there', with the suggestion that Southerners are superior beings and in fact a different breed entirely.

However very few people find the term Nordie offensive.

Most northerners actually find it humorous that 'Southerners' think it is a victory for them to call a person from the north a Nordie.

Let them have their little win, I say, for if that is what a person classes' a success then moments of a triumphant nature may are likely to be few and far between for this individual.

I don't get this "Southerners" business what about people from Inishowen what do you Northerners call them?

I don't bother with the "Southerners" thing I prefer to call ye all 'Free Staters'

Got a night booked in Castle Dargan, Sligo along with golf.

Anyone ever been? What's it like?

Same deal myself. Very good value

Groupon deal?

1st time I've used them. The offer stated spa treatments or golf. If the women is going with you make sure you ask for the spa treatment to be covered by voucher as it's more expensive than the golf. Not much availability for weekends. We got in in Nov when a round of golf is 25 euro compared to the treatment at 50 euro

First time i've used them for a trip away. Think they're very good for restaurants and spa days. There are four couples going so fourball and four spa treatments. We were looking for a saturday night in October but had to settle for a friday night then golf on the saturday. We are sharing two two bedroom apartments.

First game was poor i thought but a win is a win so happy enough. Glenariffe had 3 or 4 wides in first 5/6 mins of 2nd half and if they had got them things could have been different. Took Ballycastle a good 10 mins to get going in the 2nd half but they took some nice scores after that and the only shock towards the end of the game was that Glenariffe kept 15 players on the field. I thought they lost their discipline and were very ragged towards the end. Cushendall won't be losing any sleep tonight after watching that match and they will be big favourites for the semi.

Dunloy do look like the team to beat still. Some of the intelligence, movement and team play from them was superb tonight. Rossa did hit a bagful of wides right enough but even if they had got some of them the Dunloy forwards looked like they could have got the scores when needed. Rossa have some talent to work with for the future though (i liked the look of their 2 corner forwards in spells) and if they keep developing they will be contenders again in a few years.

Unless the Shamrocks get it right on the day i cant see past a Cushendall Dunloy final again.

Who were they? Armstong and Turley by any chance?

Derry could make the Q/Fs with that draw!  ;D

Lads need a few hurling sticks and i'm in the city tonight. Who would be my best bet?

Would like if i take a look at maybe a dozen sticks before i buy.

Is the caman hurl still being made, don't know who made them but used a few a couple of years back and they were a nice stick. Any others?

i have to laugh at the majority on this thread. a month ago it was "madness" to even have appointed McGeeney, then it was the team that was the problem, now his warm ups are crap.

He's guided an unfancied team, who everyone thought only had one scoring threat to the AI semis and I think they're the highest scorers in this years championship.

Any chance of somebody giving the fella some credit? He is long overdue it by some on this forum. Hes done a great job and they have as good a chance as any of lifting Sam now.

I would say McGeeney doesn't give two flying f**ks about credit or being overated/underated.

All Ireland Semi Final says it all.

Missus is looking a new laptop. I don't really have a clue about these sort of things, either does she so any suggestions would help.

Here's a few she was looking at.
