Quote from: trailer on February 29, 2024, 08:45:11 AMTimes up for Fernandes. His attitude and constant yapping would drive you demented. Play acting rolling around the floor then hoping up a minute later nothing wrong with him. He'll be gone before you can say INEOS.

Interesting no red card for forest when Feilpe grabbed Fernandes by the neck. Same as Cassemiro. Yet another very poor VAR decision.

Agree with what you say, but there are alot more pressing problems than Fernandes.

That unfortunately is very true

ETH comments on Antony would not sit well with a lot of supporters I would imagine "When he's on top form, he is unstoppable.  No defender can stop him".  I know his man management has been questioned previously, but I don't think anyone believes that Antony is going to come good and potentially justify anywhere close to his price tag.

Bruno is one of the bright sparks in a decidedly average squad. He gives absolutely everything for the team in every game, despite being played mostly out of his favoured position.

With a functioning midfield around him he is a world class player.

Is he being played out of position? He's been a number 10 most of the season.  Has been shifted out to the right a few times but Garnacho seems have that spot nailed down at moment.

Is there no academy graduates who could do a job at left back?  Shaw/Malacia always injured and look so lopsided when Dalot/Lindelof play there.  Lindelof is poor in natural position and brings nothing going forward.  Reguilion was a disaster, Spurs couldn't wait to ship him on again.

The signing of AWB for £45million was more poor business, given that the recruitment team should have been aware of his frailties going forward and knowing that United would be expected to dominate possession particularly at OT.

There was a young lad called Fernadez who played in pre season looked good.  but they loaned or sold him in August.

Yeah he should've been sent off for grabbing bruno. But in fairness who could blame him grabbing bruno  by the throat. ;D

I read or heard that before they signed AWB they looked at something like 80 different RBs.

To be fair to AWB he was bought before this new era of Full Backs really took off. He was bought to be a more traditional defending type full back.

It not really his fault that the position has evolved in other teams into something that he just hasn't got the skill set for.

804 right backs! And AWB tops your list. Scouting team must be a bunch of bluffers

Attacking full backs weren't a thing until after 2019?!

Not saying they weren't a thing, they weren't as advanced in terms of the tactical set up then as they are now in the way teams are deploying them.

Full backs are now dropping into midfield to create over loads and being expected to be able to do that being comfortable on the ball as well as being able to attack and defend.

Look at the way Dalot has been used even within a struggling team tactically. AWB was never going to be a ball playing full back, even though believe it or not he has improved on the ball during his time.
