Calling it Colt/Shanahoe, would of thought they would of went with Raheen, dont know how many teams they will have ill assume it will be 3, should shake up Premier Inter next year though with them, Harps Portlaoise the front runners. Be interesting to see if Murray follows through with his transfer threat

Nobody is getting relegated from Premier Intermediate down, so Clonaslee, Pickas, Kyle all staying up

EGMs are on tomorrow, basically done on Shanahoe side as there struggling for numbers, Colt side is tighter, threat made by one player leaving if it happens is making lads wary of doing it.

Heard talks of there being a Raheen Gaels team being entered in for Senior if it didnt happen with Trumera and possibly Clonad involved but dont know how accurate that is

Clonad is a raheen club that lads from the heath go to play hurling with,  if you were going to set up a club in portlaoise do it at under 8 under 10 level and work your way up with the groups use the COE as their grounds there are plenty of families in the town with no connections to portlaoise gaa and those  parents would probably be more willing to bring kids to a club in the town too, but you would be talking about a 10 to 15 year project

No we ve taken lads out of raheen, spink, ratheniska, ballacolla and durrow in the last few years, all these areas have clubs, id rather we did the best with what we have to be honest, your talking down about junior clubs like its a death sentance to play for one, well its very hard for these clubs to progress up the ladder when there best players are been taken from them isnt it

Personally I think players should be allowed transfer as they please.  Why should anyone be bound to a club,  in no aspect of life would this happen why should the GAA be any different.  If clubs are doing a good job they will attract players if not they won't.

And thats why ballyroan have the reputation of a helicopter club, each to their own but if a player wamts to transfer from a small club to a big senior club it says more about the individual than anyone else

To sick to even post after that defeat Sunday....

I don't know where to start.

Beating Longford now will be a hard task and if we do would we really be able to put it up to Kildare?

Thing is I still think there is the basis of a decent outfit there but something isn't right.

I also know we have taken the eye off the ball regarding coaching for a number of years now and are light years behind your Kildares Monaghan's and Tipps of this world who we should be competing with.

I'm usually positive and I respect everyone that tog's for this proud county but I just feel empty this week.

I get laughed at by Laois people for still going to support them. They obviously feel they're the clever ones. I think they're disloyal. The players who use Laois like a revolving door obviously know better too. We're in a proper state and I see no passion from anywhere. I'd be happy enough if we pulled out of the Championship and make a proper contribution to Gaelic football. We're not competing, so at least show the whole thing up for what it is. I feel like we're the biggest bunch of patsies in the world right now. Punch bags. Whipping boys.

Nothing much different from the majority of the last 130 years so

That's what I said if money was no object, it is a problem I am well aware of it.

Creedon should get the chop now , he won't but I think the selection policy should really look at inside the county and the coaches that are getting results.

I dont know if this is your agenda or not but a new trainer wont lead to more ballyroan abbey lads playing county lads your aware of that

The only thing that has been proven in the last few years is how underrated mcnulty was, another man we ran out of the place, because we werent playing swashbuckling so called laois style, weather lads agree or not with getting rid of creedon the reality is it wont happen til at least the end of the year, so we should get behind him and the team when they need it most instead of the usual bitching and moaning

Clancy has had 3years in club management and won nothing which is one of your arguements against creedon yet you want him to replace creedon after 4league games. Come on man he has done a half decent job with us last 2 years but thats about it, it wasnt like we were exactly shocking the likes of the heath and portlaoise was it

Who's to blame for this defeat? Or are we gonna complain about missed opportunities and how we left it behind! This has to go down to bad management the line terrible stupid decisions another inexperienced manager giving this job and probably will walk away now, hopefully he does. shocking loss to take.

So it begins

Regardless of weather they have the conroys or not (i heard the brother also wants to go) i doubt they would win inter, while they won the championship handy enough they were very lucky to beat a ballypickas team reliant on a few players in the league final, and were well bet the year before by ballacolla. Having said that its a very open championship so you never know

Heard this a few weeks ago myself

Do these gales teams generally train together the entire time or do they only get together occasionally or how do they work, ive heard that colt and clonad train seperately but shanahoe and ballypickas are training together
