Our school just emailed to say they are closing tomorrow because of storm. Didn't think Dublin was going to get it that bad.

Another over hyped storm to sell papers and get more people to tune into the news. I'm in a yellow risk area and local national and secondary school closed. How did we survive before storms got colours and names?

Recent tragedies sadly demonstrate that storms are very dangerous.

Of course people die all the time, doesn't mean they shouldn't have a warning for a Storm. What would be the point of the Weather forecast otherwise?

Of course people die all the time, doesn't mean they shouldn't have a warning for a Storm. What would be the point of the Weather forecast otherwise?

I never said there should be no warnings did I? I said schools are being closed in "yellow" akert areas. This is due to the hype from media who's main concern is selling papers and TV advertisements, not warning you. I took the relevant action this evening, put wheelie bins in shed and tied down the trampoline. I'll go to work as normal in the morning.
