Absolutely horrific accident. One of the girls was in my son's class at school and the other girl had a little 3 year old son.

Quote from: markl121 on February 21, 2024, 03:55:36 PMJust watched all of Yellowstone, 1883 and 1923 in a week. What a show. I just want to move to Montana now

they need to hurry up and finish off yellowstone
Aye think its November, then there's season two of 1924, 6666 and possibly a 2024?
Sci-fi?
to do with one of the ranches featured in the show I believe. the sixes ranch, based on a real life ranch

Had heard they were going to do a spin off for the 6666 ranch alright. that would be interesting.

I'm struggling for TV shows at the minute. Anyone watched Shogun?

Have watched the first four episodes of Shogun. It is excellent, a step up from the '80s Richard Chamberlain version.

Quote from: Harold Disgracey on March 05, 2024, 12:50:35 PMWe got away extremely lucky. My son is studying at UL and is paying €2-3k a year in fees and my daughter is in the 3rd year of a 5 year MEng degree at the University of Edinburgh, because we couldn't prove she was British  :P, she was charged as an EU student £1900 pa compared to the normal £9450! I think Brexit put paid to that loophole.

Is rent/accommodation prices not an issue in the south ? I know it is here too

Rent/accommodation is very expensive in the south. Although I believe Limerick (c€6k) isn't as bad as Dublin or Galway. Edinburgh is fairly expensive too.

Quote from: Karl Kennedy on February 12, 2024, 09:13:52 PMCurrently in the process of changing car and trying to source the best 7 seater SUV. From reading reviews the cars that seem best in performances and reliability are Hyundai Santa Fe, SKODA Kodiaq, KIA Sorento, Volvo XC90.

Would definitely be trying to buy a used car at reasonable money. Price of cars obviously increased post COVID so wondering is it best to maybe buy in England instead of Ireland.

Anyone any advice on 7 seater cars that they may already have especially the pros and cons.

I have a 7 seater 4WD X-Trail and can't fault it, probably a bit more economical than some of the others you've listed.

This is quite possibly the greatest pile of shite I've ever seen. I'm away to bed.

Armagh were in complete control for the second half and won at their leisure. Thought young Oisin Conaty had a great game and covered some amount of ground.

Half-time Armagh 1-8 0-5 Meath. Armagh at the usual ponderous play for the most part. Their one bit of adventurous play resulted in a goal for Cian McConville.

I don't know if this is a new thing or not, I certainly don't recall hearing it before but BBC news earlier was talking about the pro-British Democratic Unionist Party. Anyone else notice this.

A thoroughly undeserved win. Louth deserved at least a draw.
