Brendan Trainor in with Augher this year. Don't know if as the main man or part of a management team. Been assistant to Harbinson with Antrim this past couple of years.

There can't be many teams still waiting to appoint management can there?

Is McGinley not staying with Gortin?

toby47

Is John McElholm involved with any teams at present?

Won a championship with Killyclogher and went to Donegal but I think he was only there a year?

One of the two stevies who were over Tattyreagh and Moortown. McHugh is for Glenelly and Ferguson is off to Donegal to take Red Hughs.

*FAKE NEWS*

I am not taking Glenelly along with Sean McConnell this year.

From my phone call with their secretary, it's Dermot Corry that will be in charge of Glenelly again this year.

As the great Abraham Lincoln once said "never believe everything you read on WhatsApp"

Is Fergal McCann involved with any team or has he been lately?
Haven't heard too much about him since he finished with Tyrone.

An Charraig Naomh Pádraig wish to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to our Senior team manager Martin Hackett, who has today stepped down from the position after just two years in the role. And our thanks also to Martins backroom team of Barry Ruddy, Brian Lagan, Colm Mackle, Catherine O'Neill and Lucy Mackle. Martin took us to a Junior Championship title and promotion to Intermediate football in his first year in charge, and in what was a difficult season this year with all the Covid restrictions, Rock were defeated only twice during the shortened season in League & Championship, both times by a very good Edendork team who went on to complete the League and Championship double. It is with regret that we lose Martin and his backroom team and we wish them all the very best in whatever roles they fulfil in the future within our club or others.

Rock looking about a manager now to. Very late in the day for changing the management. Ciaran Gourley take them on?

Not wanted by the players so obviously his position was unattainable. They called a meeting a couple of weeks ago. Player power :-X

MUSA pitches are closed so you'd be wasting your time tonight.

Running track.....

Go on Sunday morning.

MUSA don't have a running track
And all the pitches are closed, so you won't see anyone training under lights.
If some players in small groups are doing a bit of running then that's completely different.

Also 4 weeks is more than enough of a preseason - clubs don't need a 2 month window - so managers can earn money for nothing.

GetOverTheBar

Walk way / running track / outside running path....whatever way you want to call it.

Pitches are closed officially, yes. Nothing you can do to stop certain teams using council pitches at weekend during daylight hours however at weekend.

4 weeks is not enough for pre season. The last time some players have ran was September, depending on how you did this year it would have been even before that and you think a month will do after what will be presumably, at least 4 months break, not only that with public gyms closed? No chance. It doesn't work like that.

If players have not been looking after themselves then yes. But as the saying goes, you get fit to train, you don't train to get fit. It is a waste of a coaches time if he is just there to help boys shift the Christmas pounds.

GetOverTheBar

Fair point LeoMc, but there won't even be a Junior team who thinks 4 weeks is enough to prepare for a season.

Madness.
