According to an article (SportsJOE.ie), five players lit up this year's Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Championship.

These players are the followings:
- Conor Geaney (Kerry)
- Mark O'Connor (Kerry)
- Alan Tynan (Tipperary)
- Ciaran Kelly (Kildare)
- Shane McGuigan (Derry)

Seems like we're gonna see and hear from them more!

Sounds like some of ye have been drinking moonshine.
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not too sure.

SHONE !!

Can be either, #ignorantpedant!

The verb shine has two past-tense forms: shined and shone. Shined and shone are competing acceptable past tense forms of the verb shine. Some (but not all) sources recommend using shined when the verb has an object and shone when it does not.

When shine is intransitive (has no direct object), the past tense is shone. When shine is transitive (takes a direct object), the past tense is shined.

Another way of looking at it is that when the subject of the verb is shiny, the past tense is shone. When the object of the verb is shiny, the past tense is shined.

"The table shone after I shined it."

But to deal with the topic.....

Mayo shined Dublin this year and Kerry last year until they shone.

Ever attempt modern meaning and usage?  :P

And maybe the OP means those players who put a shine on this year (transitively) in any case, so less of the arrogance! ;)

At first glance I thought it was about what players were Shinners.

The Tipp minors were unfortunate to have 8 or so dual players in 2 finals of which they won neither....
But great work underage for Tipp in the fuball and it would be great to see a senior dividend coming.
