Does Jim have a point here or is it just a bit of crying?

I think it is a bit ironic as Donegal can hit as hard as anyone...

Maybe he does have a point and as he mentioned there is a duty of care to players. But that extend beyond the referee, so perhaps it is time for him to reconsider playing a relatively slightly built natural forward in a linkman type role were he's going to get a lot of heavy tackles.

From the Bunker

I suppose Jim doesn't have Brolly to talk about Cynical Mayo this year. So he'll just have to do his own dirty work. Which he did nice and discreetly in that piece by slipping in a dig about the AI final last year. If he's worried about player welfare he should look at the eye gauge/Rake by Thompson on McLoughlin in the League earlier this year.

Jimmy 's worrying about scratches?

Is he talking about the collision with Gollogly? One of Monaghan's smallest players, who also had to go off injured (and had a nasty looking eye afterwards)? It's terrible to see a player badly injured, but what did he expect the ref to do?

Wheras we are just hanging on to your every word loser.
When you have achieved 10% of what McGuinness has in your miserable lonely little excuse of a life then you can call him a c**t.
Until then its back to the box of Kleenex with you.

Here is the challenge he's whining about:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSzMjjrTMHI

Are you genuinely trying to tell me that you don't think that tackle was dangerous?
Are you genuinely trying to tell me that Gallogly was playing the ball?

McHugh was two nights in hospital after that & Gallogly did a fair bit of damage to himself. Is that really what we want?

Nothing wrong with that...shoulder to shoulder. Stuff happens. Dunno how McHugh got a leg injury out of it though. I think Jimmy's rattled.

He's not a very likeable character, he makes my blood boil tbh.

Where as most will say that's just bitterness from a Mayo man but then one must ask himself why do we not dislike Jack o Connor , Sean Boylan or the late Paudi o Se.

This was just a ploy this interview, it has nowt to with player welfare , he's a bad aul cont and will get his comeuppance.

You got it right about the bitterness, wrong everywhere else

Ah Jimmy up to his oul antics. "I never have criticused referees, but, Let's see what happens", This is obviously a ploy to try and get the referee on side for quarter final and paint Mayo as some sort of dirty outfit. Jimmy get over yourself buddy.

The "hit" on McHugh was fair, he was open and was fair game. Jimmy thinks we all came down in the last shower and is trying to play games through the media.
