What would be your top 3 Westerns?

Mine are: 1. The good, the bad and the ugly   2. Unforgiven    3. The Searchers

1. The treasure of the sierra madre
2. The gunfighter
3. The good, the bad and the ugly

I could list dozens though.

Billys Boots

1. Bad Day at Black Rock
2. High Noon
3. The Outlaw Josey Wales

Hard to argue that.

Hedley Lamarr

What about Blazing Saddles? :D
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed:

Denn Forever

1.  Rio Bravo
2.  The Searchers
3.  Support your local Sheriff (the film I'm talking about is the one where the Jail is still being built).
I have more respect for a man
that says what he means and
means what he says...

leenie

1= the man with no name

2= outlaw josey wales

3= true grit...

WORST WESTERN EVER .....

I'm trying to decide on a really meaningful message..

Canalman

Not a bad choice Billys Boots.... mine are

1 Bad Day at Blackrock
2 The Outlaw Josey Wales
3 The Wild Bunch

For anyone who hasn't seen BDaB, a treat awaits............ Spencer Tracy, Robert Ryan, Lee Marvin, Ernst Borgnine and ors at their best.

The Real Laoislad

Back to the Future Part III  :)
You'll Never Walk Alone.

Celt_Man

GAA Board Six Nations Fantasy Champion 2010

J OGorman

Westerns

1.Tombstone
2. The Unforgiven
3. Once Upon a Time in The West

Hardy

Impossible to choose a top three, for me.  All of the above (except the awful spaghetti Westerns shite) are contenders, and I'd have to add

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid
Pale Rider

The Iceman

I don't think the next generation will appreciate the Westerns as much as some of us who grew up on them would.

There are so many to choose from with the majority listed being major contenders for top 3 honours.

With films its' very hard to pick your Number 1 film of all time or even your Top 3.  You can pick films you would watch over and over again, or cinematographic classics, or low budget masterpieces.

I don't even think I could list my Top 25 and be completely happy with it - there would always be one or two I would think about exchanging with other ones......
I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight

AbbeySider

1. Unforgiven
2. The Quick and the Dead
3. Shane

Don't forget the Classic, The Magnificent seven
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

I don't like westerns.

I blame the oul boy for repeatedly watching the good the bad and the ugly.  Couldnt stand it.
