Watched 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' last weekend with the kids - highly recommended.  Very funny indeed.

I actually thought it was thoroughly overrated. A load of pretentious highbrow Wes Anderson nonsense which was way over most kid's heads. Tried to be too clever IMO and forgot it's real target audience while trying to please the adults/critics. I liked the animation style though.

Is it not one of those movies that's aimed at 'big kids' who grew up with the story, rather than actually children?

Just after watching Anger Management there, which I recorded off Five last week. Seen it before, but it was first class craic. Laughed hard.

However, I cried at the end :'(

From Paris With Love. I am sorry guys but this one is not going to make you cry. Kick ass Action almost all the way and some funny moments. Pure entertainment.

7.5 out of 10.

Hoping to see it on Sunday night Pat. Heard different ones chatting about it and they said it's brilliant.

My kids loved it.  :)

Anybody seen Che (Parts 1 & 2)? Seen a few reviews for them and sounded good. Would be interesting as I thought The Motorcycle Diaries was one of my favourite films. Top fifteen/twenty anyway.

Saw Crazy Heart last night. It was OK I guess a bit like the wrestler (did someone say that already), very slow and drawn out following one man's journey blah blah blah.

I've sort of had enough of these kind of films since American Beauty I don't really find them that interesting but a lot of people seem to like them so if there's a market for it go ahead I suppose.

Any seen Flags of Our Fathers or Letters from Iwo Jima - picked them up for a fiver last week and looking to get to watch them tonight.

I have letters from Iwo Jima for a long time and haven't got round to watching it. Good deal there though, where did you get it from?

Letters from Iwo Jima is a masterpiece. Clint Eastwoods best movie as a director by a mile imho. I could watch this movie a hundred times and never tire of it.

Flags of our Fathers is quite good and a related movie but not in the same class as Letters. It drags in places.

Yep. I'd say watch Flags of our Fathers first, it's an alright movie but it'll be a bit of a let down if you watch it after Letters from Iwo Jima.
