Watched Mosul, never complain about hardship too much, we live like kings here.

We'll remind you of that when you are giving out about something. Mind you, Belfast has more in common with Mosul than most places.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Rewatched die hard, having not seen it for ages, still a clinker

Great entertainment.  Memorable one liners. Willis and Rickman were brilliant.

The one liners are just brilliant, not to many movies coming out like that now. Personal favourite is when he fires the body onto the police car "welcome to the party pal"

Rickman's performance stole the show and made the movie the classic that it is.

He did similar in Robin Hood PoT outshone Costner in that too.

Apparently Costner wasn't happy  that Rickman upstaged him .  Some scenes were cut out as a result

Rickman was brilliant in it

Yeah, its all perspective I know (I did say too much) but the life there, and I lived through some carnage, is madness.

The film was as good as the The last men in Aleppo

Movies are instantly forgettable these days . Actors have no charisma now . It's just all buffed up  Clones who all look the same .

I'd agree.
I can't remember the last movie that I'd have been chomping at the bit to see at the cinema.
Some good movies, but nothing like Shawshank, Die Hard, Pulp Fiction.....there's nothing new that you could say will be a movie you'd watch again.

I found recently you hear rave reviews about something and it's this and it's that, and when you go and see it it's fairly average. There are still good movies out there but a lot of what critics are lauding is average or below average.

Top Gun Maverick was the best I seen at the cinema in a long long time.

This film fits '03,05,08's' point exactly in my eyes. Looking forward to it for months and heard some amazing reviews, but thought it was just OK.

Come off it. You might not like the man but he's been in some belters:

The Color of Money
Born on the Fourth of July
Rain Man
Top Gun Maverick
A Few Good Men
The MI series
Collateral
Magnolia
The Firm

Don't know about this Tam Cruise bloke, but Tom Cruise has been in a few decent movies (exceptions rather than the rule, in fairness):

Collateral
Magnolia
A Few Good Men
Interview with the Vampire

First MI  was watchable  i suppose.  Tried to watch top gun once, couldn't finish it. Can't abide rain man

Vampire film was brutal. As was tropic thunder
