Red Star wanted that game more and Liverpool weren't up for it. Not one Liverpool player looked to beat their man and drive at the Red Star defence. There was a ten minute spell were they looked like they would score but Red Star weathered it and it was obvious we weren't getting anything after that.
I know it's an age old excuse but the officials were terrible, it was like a European away game from the 70s were the home side got every single decision. Then they lay down after every Liverpool attack like they were on life support. You can call it game management or whatever you like, but it was blatant and the officials didn't want to know.
Incredible atmosphere inside the stadium, one of the best I've been to. They did a lap of honor at the end and all the LFC fans gave them an ovation. No complaints from anyone, the best team on the night won.

That Purple Aki away kit wants binning.

Asked to explain what went wrong in Belgrade, Klopp replied: "I only have 10 fingers."

Bit of a borefest that. 3 points though, poor first half but very comfortable once the Shaq scored.
Hopefully City's noisy neighbours do us a favour later on today, and our own noisy neighbours do us a favour against Chelsea.

Top of the league... for now  ;D

Supporting Everton and United now. Feels wrong.

Doing enough without getting out of second gear. As we seen in Manchester derby it takes time and patience to break down the lesser teams intent on defending.
Big Shaq has been a big positive this season. A wee bundle of energy and quality. He's fun to watch.

20odd years and counting, disappointment from Utd to help Liverpool's cause to be 3rd or 4th best this year
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Fair play to Everton. Should have known better than think United would get something from City. Useless shower.

It's going to be very hard to keep pace with City all season.
I know they weren't up against much today but they look unstoppable.

The Toffees would at least have got to play in the competition
Even Villa and Forest (two) managed to win one
