Could not believe the decision by the ref to give what was a clear penalty to Tipp as a free for over carrying.  The replay clearly shows the Tipp lad playing the sliothar and then being wrestled to the ground .  First the 'steal' that was the Minor final win and now this.  Either God is a cat or they have all sold their souls.

Reillers

Agreed, a stone cold penalty and free at the end. Robbery for Tipp. Typical Kilkenny, always get the luck.

Minder

That was poor from the ref, it was a clear cut penalty.

Count the steps- before e flicked it off his hurl and before going to ground he took about 8/9 steps, which is what the free out was for. The whistle had gone. Correct decision.

That was not when the ref blew.  He blew at the end of the sequence of play.  If the 3 steps rule was enforced there would be no play at all!

I have just watched it again and he took 5 steps before playing it off his stick. I dont think the ref saw him playing it off his stick
