Nobody surprised at Russia's draw?

In what way?

Handy draw, no?

Uruguay are better than Argentina. Suarez and Cavani up front - literally two best two strikers in world football at the moment. If both bring their club form to Russia they could well make a long run into the knockout stages.

Eygpt with Salah will give top two plenty to think about. Hardly a particularly easy draw.

Suarez is in shocking form, 5 in last 18 games for Barcelona I think it is

And Barca are just running away with La Liga.

I checked his stats in La Liga and it's ten games played, five goals and an assist. Many strikers wish for that to be their bad form.

Stop relating club form to country form Ffs! Messi being prime example

He almost won a WC with them on his back three years ago.

Milltown Row2

He scored 4 goals ya ballon and they were bate!! Almost and did is like saying ROI almost qualified for the finals but didn't, they were bate

AZOffaly

They wouldn't even be in Russia if it weren't for him in the last game.

Four goals in a WC by a midfielder - how wasn't he dropped!?

You're getting a wee bit ahead of yourself here, Aregetina got to the WC final - that's nothing like saying we almost qualified.

So you don't think that Messi hasn't underperform at the World Cup finals ?

Not at the one where he dragged Argentina to the final, ffs. I don't know what you're even arguing here.

Milltown Row2

The Argentine press have been on his back for years about his form during finals, he retired because of it. Missed his spot kick in the last finals he played in South America, retired and came back.

My point is don't relate club form to finals form he's not really set it on fire (like he did for Barca)

Currently - zero interest in WC
Early May - I see WC is starting next month must put a bet on
Late May- what no Italy, damn I will just back Germany
Early June - Dips in and out of Group games, hopes England goes well
Late June - Completely hooked, sick of BBC pundits hopes England goes out on penalties to     Germany preferably
July - In France for Final hopes France are in it as the buzz in the camp site will be mighty

That's woeful. Especially midfield. Their centre back selection is poor. Smalling is as good as any of the others bar Cahill perhaps. Welbeck very lucky to make that squad.

NAG1

Would look from that squad selection that he would like to go five at the back.

The pretty much confirms the best players in the Premier league are Johnny foreigners.

England's worse squad in my living memory. I expect them to do well. Last 8, if not last 4. Pressure will be off them to a certain extent and they may generate some team spirit that they've been lacking. World Cups are won with workman-like, team efforts. It might just suit them. (Probably lose all 3 games and be first team home now I've said that)
A European winner is almost Guaranteed. France or Germany for me.

If all the above were on the transfer list, would there be much interest from the likes of Real Madrid or Barcelona?  Kane probably.....
