Jesus, August is six months away! You'd like to think we'd be over the hill

Explain what will be different in August then now?

We should be on the other side of the curve by then no?

They are taking a lax attitude in the North, so be doing well to be other side of the curve. Read Brollys latest tweet.

What do you mean by this? That half the population will have got it and 50-100,000 Irish people will have died?

Are you working for the WHO? Nobody has an idea on this, 6 months will be middle of August I'm assuming at some point it will have got to a turning point. Locked down for 18 months till vaccinations are made?

No, I am not working for the WHO, if I were I wouldn't have time to post on GAAboard.
If you think there is a turning point other than as I described then say why you think it would be different.

Heading to Spain in July. Not looking good. To early to make a call? What do you reckon?

Unless you can get a refund from the Airline or your insurance then I'd say so.

Nobody wants to head away in the summer now but there's no point pulling the pin this early unless you can get some/all of the money back.

Due to head away at the end of May but our travel insurance are only covering for trips until mid April when they are going to evaluate it again so there's no point in doing anything yet really.

Looking like I'm gonna rebook my cycling trip with Jet2 for a future date & different destination, just wondering about the travel insurance I had booked - lost money or would they move it to the new holiday??

Meant to be  for Majorca in 5 weeks for a cycling event and Ibiza in July with family, I'd imagine both are screwed, lockdowns are not the end of restrictions, only part of the eradication process. Cant imagine being in a very holiday state of mind if my Ibiza trip was still on.

No. No. No.
Forget about aeroplanes/going abroad until 2022 at the very least. At the very least!!! If you get money back - take it and run and be glad.

Go out to Navan Fort and cycle around - live where you live and be happy and make the most of it and again - be glad.

GAA won't be carrying out any herd immunity experiments in Croke Park this year or next year anywhere in Ireland and neither should you or anyone else take part in one of their own making.
