Just back after the match. I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with Chelsea, If they persist with playing  that four in midfield then there will be a good championship race.  For all the possession that Chelsea had they never really looked threatening. They are so big and athletic but they are lacking real with, if they dropped sheva and ballack and put back in the wide boys then they will romp home but as it stands they are very one dimensional, and easy to defend against. Will it be the curse if the "Galaticos"?

Carrick may not put in crunching tackles like a keane/viera but his position sense and passing ability are first class. Vidic is indeed a monster, a fantastic buy especially as we stole him from the "30 miles from greatness" brigade!!

The atmosphere on the stretford end was unreal, so much for all seated stadiums. My poor Dad had a shock, you have to stand for the whole game and you have to sing, otherwise you get a right earful!!!

"Mourinho, are you listening,
You better keep our trophy glistening,
We'll be back in May, to take it away,
Walking in a Fergie wonderland"

Mayo / Re: New Mayo Manager

I must say I'm over the moon with the appointment, noboby else could have got a fair crack of the wip while JOM was in the background. All we can ask for is that we get the best 25 players in the county involved and get them well prepared and if that not good enough then so be it, its not soccer and there is no transfer windows, we have to use what we have got.

Will we be treated to a range of trial matched again this year?? Unlike last year the management team should really know whats in the county.

Well I was over at the game and I have to say I thought United played quite well to a point. Celtic never had a sniff of the game. United were in total control and Celtic were chasing shadows for most if the game. United would have been better off if they needed to win the game because they were cruising. Why did Rooney play most of the game from wide positions, that baffles me all the time, I must be missing something.

Or big problem is the bench; we had nothing on it which would change the attacking aspect of the team. The sooner the Transfer window opens the better.

Feck this just looking for a draw business. Celtic were brutal to watch, no real pace or inventiveness, everything they did seemed slower.

I'm going to go to the Chelsea game on Sunday, hopefully it will be a better spectacle, at least Chelsea will come at united and we might get to see some good end to end stuff.

On a side note, this was my second time at park head and to say I was let down by the atmosphere would be an understatement. Fair enough once they scored the place went bananas but up to that point it was dead. All you could hear signing throughout the game were the 3000 united fans. I've been to Old Trafford on many occasions when the atmosphere has been dead but on big occasions the place rocks, it now seems to me that Park Head can join Anfield when it comes to talking about atmosphere, more mythical than mystical!!!

I was at it and Belmullet deserved to win. Brutal game. The weather was atrocious the team playing into the wind had to play soccer or hand pass it up the length of the field due to the strength of the wind.

No hits at all in the game a very sporting contest.....I think it was to cold and windy to be bothered doing anything.

Billy Joe didn't look like a county footballer today, very average.

Who will get relegated from the senior league this year, and is there any chance of Belmullet going down this year once Kiltane gets the better of them on Sunday??

Has anyone got the table and this this weeks fixtures?
