GAA Discussion / Re: 2015 Season Ticket
February 13, 2015, 02:55:55 PM
Mick,

I'll have to get back onto them. On another note its a shambles before games getting into McHale park before games with season tickets. Is there any reason why they don't use the other end of the stadium for access as well?

Hi,

Did anyone have a problem with their season ticket at the Mayo Tyrone game, one of our three did not register and I am getting no luck with seasonticket@gaa.ie in getting the attendance recorded.

Has anyone else had problems with the GAA season tickets at the Mayo Derry game, we have 3 tickets but only 2 registered as scanned on our attendance log.

Got the standard PFO letter from seasonticket@gaa.ie saying there was no reported issue at the ground.

As a Kiltane man I would be as proud as hell to see a Mayo man line out in the corner for Mayo on an All Ireland Sunday but unforunatly I do not think that Mickey Sweeney would be the answer to start, super club footballer who with the right ball will roast most club corner backs but it is a big jump in standard to be a starting inter county corner forward at the level we hope mayo to be at.

That being said he would in my opinion be a far better option then Enda Varley, he is more inclined to head for goal then the corner flag and that if there is a goal chance then he will take it on.

You cant have a squad with too many the size of Varley/Sweeney/Reegan in it but if it was up to me I'd cut Varley loose as we know what he is and what he is capable off and give the other two a run in the FBD/League to see who is more up to the task.

James Horan has made one change for next Sundays Connacht Senior Football Championship Semi-Final. Richie Feeney will replace the injured Cillian O'Connor at Centre-Half Forward in an otherwise unchanged side from that that defeated Galway in Pearse Stadium last month. The Mayo Senior Football Team to face Roscommon this Sunday 16th June at 4.00p.m. in Elverys MacHale Park is as follows:

1.  David Clarke - Ballina Stephenites
2.  Tom Cunniffe - Castlebar Mitchels
3.  Ger Cafferkey - Ballina Stephenites
4.  Keith Higgins - Ballyhaunis
5.  Lee Keegan - Westport
6.  Donal Vaughan - Ballinrobe
7.  Colm Boyle - Davitts
8.  Aidan O'Shea - Breaffy
9.  Seamus O'Shea - Breaffy
10.   Kevin McLoughlin - Knockmore
11.   Richie Feeney - Castlebar Mitchels
12.   Cathal Carolan - Crossmolina
13.   Enda Varley - Garrymore
14.   Alan Freeman - Aghamore

Good performance yesterday in poor conditions.

Some rambling points.....................

We are still looking for a No. 6 I would love to see Lee Keegan get a run of games there, his distribution is top draw and he seems to me to have the positional sense to play centrally.

Tom Cunniffe seems to always have a big mistake in him, always looks lose on the ball and and liable to lose it in contact. I personally would hate to see him starting in a championship match.

I would love to see a Back six at some stage of the league with Keane, Caff, McHale, Higgins, Keegan and Boyle.

What did ye all think of Richie Feeney yesterday? I thought he was poor enough after a good opening 15 mins, I couldn't believe that Billy fits gave him man MoM ahead of Conroy and Caff. He looked slow on the ball and to me doesn't seem to have the pace to be playing No. 11, good squad player but that would be it in my mind.

Cathal Freeman was anonymous, didn't look up to it and also seems to lack pace, he couldn't get into the game.

Dinny........go as far as the hospital and park at the back of it. We did that for the Connacht final and had no bother, there were cars parking nearly a mile out the road and nothing in the carpark.

Seanie.....do ya have his name, if ya do just post his initials.......I'm intrigued.

As for Mayo........we are struggling to field two corner forwards. If we can get McGarity anywhere near fit Move AOS to 11 and Cillian into the corner instead of Varley then we will be ok, we might not win it but it will take a really good team to knock us out.

All we can ask for any year is to be competitive and get the best out of what we have, thankfully under Horan we are that.

Leave Doohoma out of this Seanie......the only people we are dismissive of is the gang from Belmullet.

I hope the pitch didn't cut up................

Have to feel a bit sorry for Kiltane, did well to get to the final, ended up playing against the home team who played 2 less games. Its a pity Tony Gaughan and John Scanlon are in London, they would have made a big difference.

Tony Gaughan from Kiltane is a fine footballer as well, huge loss for our club. I'll be putting €20 on London as well, nice to have an interest!!
