Quote from: Snapchap on April 19, 2024, 10:31:03 AMI remember reading about this fella, Michael Davis, a comedy juggler of all things. The bit I read about him described his mastery of comedic timing as unsurpassed by anyone. Hard to argue when you watch him. If you've never seen him, I recommend you spend 9 minutes of your time to watch him in action as he performed for then US president Ronald Reagan:

Brilliant.

Quote from: Dag Dog on April 16, 2024, 10:53:14 AMRumours that McIlroy is ready to jump to LIV.
That will be some u-turn for him, but maybe a sign that LIV are going to win eventually.

Also rumours that Rahm is heading back to PGA.

Things I don't expect to see:
- Rory joining LIV
- Ian Paisley hugging Martin McGuiness
- DUP sharing power with Sinn Fein
- Jim Alister in Stormont which is running the Irish Sea border
- Mickey Harte managing Derry hi

and of course
- Dublin being split in two (city and county) to give other Leinster teams a chance

Both sides struggled in Brewster Park with the severe cross wind, hence the low points total.

Quote from: AustinPowers on February 12, 2024, 09:17:03 PMThis has bugged  me for a while now , but saw it  again today  and I nearly blew a gasket.

Dates written  Month/Day/Year, like:

February 12th 2024

...instead of the correct way , Day/Month/Year , like:

12th February 2024

Apparently it's  only the Americans who write  it MDY , so why the feck am  I seeing it more and more  in Ireland?

Grrrrr!!!!!

I'm sure you know that American English is more authentic an closer to the original than the English used across the british isles?

Yeah , but surely  you mean  grammatically closer? The numbers/date thing  is a different issue

But that's another  statement that annoys me.  Should be British and Irish  isles, or just Britain & Ireland , or Ireland & Britain.

No, I meant more authentic because when the pilgrims sailed off to America they took the english langauge as it was at that time. Since then, the english used in britain and ireland has evolved whereas the american version did not evolve at the same speed. Of course the Internet and modern communications is merging them again.

Unfortunately the same costs still occur irrespective of whether you get to play or not.
