Not Ireland related but absolute carnage at Trent Bridge this morning. Braod has destroyed the Aussies with 7 wickets for 11 runs in just 7 overs. Aussies are 50/9. This will be talked about for years.

Been watching it.... Incredible stuff. I'm over for the first two days of the final test the week after next. At this stage it looks like it might be a dead rubber.

Hard to see the Aussies salvaging a draw from this, I'd imagine England should be able to put up some sort of score even if bowling conditions are very favourable.

I'm going over at the end of the month for the T20 finals in Edgbaston. Supposedly a great day.

Sidney

Wonderful stuff. There's nothing in world sport to touch an England team wiping out the filth inside an hour and a half in an Ashes test match.

Rufus T Firefly

Just checking the stats on BBC - Broad's eight wicket haul is the best since 1896 (8-15). The Aussie innings is the quickest first innings (in terms of balls bowled) in test history. A pathetic effort from the Australians.

Sidney

Kildare's performance against Kerry is looking very respectable in comparison.

Is it time for a two-tier Ashes?

deiseach

Even Australia's two 5-0 wins in the last decade contained more drama than this series. One team has had little hope of winning after the first day in each game.

Big Boyd Rankin back in the load in time for the T20 World Cup. Can be expensive, but a decent option nonetheless.

Made an absolute hash of it... Some truly appalling bowling near the end cost them very dear..

Apart from Frampton, Irish sport taking a bit of a bashing lately :'(

Irelands 2nd game just about to start, this is a must win game against the group favorites Bangladesh. Its been raining and its been reduced to 12 overs aside which may suit Ireland..

AZOffaly

Ireland are atrocious so far. Pathetic fielding and toothless bowling. Bangladesh are 32-0 with not even 3 overs done yet!
